If he's healthy..
Edit: and he really needs to get the hell out of Washington, that whole organization seems to have a way of sucking the soul out of players Health isn't the reason he is completely incapable of reading a defense or moving through his progressions. All his injury has done is expose this weak side of his game. The problem is that even if he gets "healthy" again, his psyche is already greatly affected. For the rest of his career he will be afraid of being injured again. As a result I don't think we'll ever see rookie RG3 ever again. Some mobility and a better line will give him more time to get throws off, but until he improves his ability to read the field and feel pressure he will be mediocre to bad. I say chip kelly makes a move for him Is this a joke? The one problem Kelly has had in his short tenure is injured QBs. RG3 would be the single worst choice in this context. More likely that he would trade for the Raiders #1 to get Mariota. Edit: Just read that article. Lost credibility with the Eagles portion when he stated that RG3 was a mobile QB still. Guy looks slower than Big Ben. Also, I can't imagine the Rams giving anything for him. I don't think leadership wants to risk losing more years of wasted quality all over the team to another injury prone QB. Bradford certainly taught them a lesson for the short-term at least. RG3 is amazingly un-athletic for how athletic he is which, IMO is why he seems to get injured so much. He seems to be slower than his speed, can't slide, and he takes hits in a manner that seems to maximize their impact on his body. I kind of feel like 9/10 random high school QBs would do better with the athletic gifts he has. This is disingenuous; there is a considerable difference between how RG3 played before his major knee problem and after. Seconded. Let's not forget that he was one of the most electric players in CFB (and won the Heisman) and looked quite mobile in his rookie year. The injury (and I think rushing him back without any training camp and hardly any practice) really damaged him. I'm not sure winning the Heisman is translating to the NFL in the way many expect. Just look at the recent winners: 2012: Johnny Manziel - Can't even beat out Brian Hoyer on the BROWNS. 2011: RG3 - Yep. 2010: Cam Newton - Panthers offense looks beyond inept. Yes his line sucks but his field vision is as bad as RG3s. 2009: Mark Ingram - Average running back. 2008: Sam Bradford - Injury prone. Wasn't that great when he played though. Has more career turnovers than TDs. 2007: Tim Tebow - LOL 2006: Troy Smith - Playing in the Canadian League. The list goes on.
Yeah Heisman has never been an automatic thing that you'd succeed. Shit the other awards arent either. That's why it was so annoying to hear people who never watch football go on about Michael Sam being picked so late because of homophobia. There are a ton of guys who have one or two good years on stacked teams and never amount to anything in the nfl (as much as I wish he would have). Many guys have skillsets that only succeed in college, or play on in systems on stacked college teams that contribute to that

Great start for me to the week in the TL league with monster games from the Lions skill position players. Unfortunately I'm already knocked out. But good to go out with a bang I suppose.

I'm nervous for this game.
Unfortunatly I can foresee a repeat of the Green Bay disaster

Same. I'm very nervous about this game.
Having said that, if we can run the ball like we did on that first drive then we should be fine. All comes down to 1. Sanchez not turning it over, 2. the running game and 3. a major non-offensive play. Defense is going to give up points.

Sanchez can go to hell, but it's nice to see the Eagles playing so well.
|
Sanchez taketh and Sanchez giveth.
Edit: Ugh McCoy easily had the first down there. Bad read by Sanchez throwing there. Points off the board likely.
|
Lol thanks for the feild position
No idea what that dude was thinking that he just took out his own returner, cowboys are lucky that wasn't 7 points for the eagles
|
Less McCoy more Sproles. Please. For the love of god.
Edit: HORRIBLE pass by Sanchez on that 3rd down . 2 FGs within 5 yards of the endzone may come back and bite us hard in the 2nd.
Edit 2: Well, that helps :D
Edit 3: Subpar red-zone offense strikes again. 2 of the Eagle losses are directly attributable to an inability to score TDs in the redzone on a consistent basis. Hopefully it doesn't hurt us again here.

The red zone struggles continue, which I just find baffling
This game should already be over

Frustrating, I don't understand Kelly's refusal to run Polk/Sproles in the redzone, these dinky plays are not getting it done.
Run the ball up the middle with polk once or twice and if you have to pass it use one of our 3 pretty good pass catching TEs
|
Agreed. Polk is the best kept secret in the entire nfl, can't understand why he doesn't get it a few times when you're that close to the end zone.
|
That's where McCoy is at his best. I'm still against his heavy use in the redzone. He skill set simply isn't working there right now. Sproles is much more slippery in the short field + his short patterns are killer.
Edit: Wow. What an insanely stupid penalty to get there. He had the safety over the top to help. Wasn't necc.

Kendricks is a baller, I love that guy

That was fucking awesome by Kendricks right there
And it's turning into ONE OF THOSE DAYS for the fuckboys
|
Wow what a cheap shot by the Dallas player.
