If he went to the Rams would it just to be to see who would get hurt faster between him and Bradford?

Asked to name the similarities he sees between Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, Patriots coach Bill Belichick on Wednesday provided one of his classic blowoffs, telling reporters: "They both wear No. 12."

lol, when Belichick retires, I hope there will be a HOF for all of his quotes.

I wonder if he practices this. Or if he plans the snarkiest answer beforehand.

Is this a joke? The one problem Kelly has had in his short tenure is injured QBs. RG3 would be the single worst choice in this context.

More likely that he would trade for the Raiders #1 to get Mariota.

Edit: Just read that article. Lost credibility with the Eagles portion when he stated that RG3 was a mobile QB still. Guy looks slower than Big Ben. Also, I can't imagine the Rams giving anything for him. I don't think leadership wants to risk losing more years of wasted quality all over the team to another injury prone QB. Bradford certainly taught them a lesson for the short-term at least.

3 places immediately come to mind when I think of RG3 being dealt to another team and that's Bills, Bucs and the JETS. Would be hilarious to see him go to NY. His career would be over.

Edit: Wildcard team would be the Cardinals. He wouldn't have to start right away because they have Carson Palmer, plus they have the Quarterback whisperer.

RG3 is amazingly un-athletic for how athletic he is which, IMO is why he seems to get injured so much. He seems to be slower than his speed, can't slide, and he takes hits in a manner that seems to maximize their impact on his body.

I kind of feel like 9/10 random high school QBs would do better with the athletic gifts he has.

This is disingenuous; there is a considerable difference between how RG3 played before his major knee problem and after.

Seconded. Let's not forget that he was one of the most electric players in CFB (and won the Heisman) and looked quite mobile in his rookie year. The injury (and I think rushing him back without any training camp and hardly any practice) really damaged him.

Not really seeing anything there that indicates he is maximizing his talent. Or was maximizing it. Like, if his ceiling is 100, and his floor, while healthy (and putting in moderate amounts of work), is 70, he was a 75, is a 50, and if he was possessed by Kyle Orton would be an 80.

Health isn't the reason he is completely incapable of reading a defense or moving through his progressions. All his injury has done is expose this weak side of his game.

The problem is that even if he gets "healthy" again, his psyche is already greatly affected. For the rest of his career he will be afraid of being injured again. As a result I don't think we'll ever see rookie RG3 ever again. Some mobility and a better line will give him more time to get throws off, but until he improves his ability to read the field and feel pressure he will be mediocre to bad.

I'm not sure winning the Heisman is translating to the NFL in the way many expect. Just look at the recent winners:

2012: Johnny Manziel - Can't even beat out Brian Hoyer on the BROWNS.
2011: RG3 - Yep.
2010: Cam Newton - Panthers offense looks beyond inept. Yes his line sucks but his field vision is as bad as RG3s.
2009: Mark Ingram - Average running back.
2008: Sam Bradford - Injury prone. Wasn't that great when he played though. Has more career turnovers than TDs.
2007: Tim Tebow - LOL
2006: Troy Smith - Playing in the Canadian League.

The list goes on.

None of that would stop me from taking a chance on him. I admit that he really does look terrible now, and that analysis that Cooley did showed some pretty damning evidence regarding his fundamental ability to play in the NFL.

But weve seen him do it before. I dont know if theres something wrong with him mentally right now, perhaps the coaches arent doing a good job, idk. I would like to see what he can do on a different team.

And your point about the heisman winners is moot in this case cuz he also won rookie of the year. Hes shown that he can get it done.

GTR articulated what I meant fairly well. Basically, RGIII was a Heisman winner, high draft pick with incredible expectations, lived up to them in his rookie year by winning ROY and leading a previously bad Washington team to the division title. The Heisman point was only to demonstrate he was awesome in college, pretty good in the pros, and then poof, it was gone.
