Norways has been doing alot of hooking and holding. so I'm sure there was something. CBC commentators are doing alot of bashing of the Russian coaches player selection. He's giving the KHL players alot more of a chance then they probably deserve. I think there is some politicking going on by the KHL to try and say that they are equal in skill to the NHL.

I think the KHL players are playing a lot better atm. The NHL players are just surfing on the fiueld, especially ovetshkin.

Oh yeah, its been like that for years. This ESPECIALLY comes from all those "soviet" era stars, who are old fucks now who has something personal against those who play overseas (yeah back in their times this wasn't possible lol). Same comes from all those idiotic "fans" who go watch KHL games and never watch any NHL, so have limited and most of the times incorrect view on the NHL skill. With this being said i totally like how last world cup our Coach decided to let NHLers out of the roster and took all those KHLers who played like total noobs and failed. This at least helped him to keep em all out of the roster this year. Unfortunately he couldn't go 100% NHLers (he still needs to play some system where specific players are required) but this is much better as it could have been with all that pressure. This coach is not stupid.

Radulov, Kovalchuk and whoever their line mate is are by far the best line for Russia right now. Kovy was an All star in the NHL and Radulov easily would have been too if he stayed.
