regardless, the rule in international play is that if it is off at all, play should stop and no goal. idk why the nhl doesnt do that either. If it can be determined that the goal would have been scored had the net been in its rightful place they allow it. Todays technology will give them a perfect view of where the net should have been on a goal.
Only time I ever saw this come into play in the NHL was during a goal crease scramble and the net got rocked forward by someone behind the net and someone managed to poke the puck across the line

Hey guys, the US have their own story of siblings going for the gold. The SI photoshop is probably better than the article though. Such a fierce look.

Figure Skating is rigged. Hopefully we get more winter sports that are timed or races or score based and push the judged shit out...
Anyways. Austria vs Slovenia!
Anze Kopitar takes a shot along the ice and it squeaks through the Austrian goalies 5 hole on the PP. 1-0 Slovenia
Jans Urbas roofs a shorthanded goal after Thomas Vanek slowly glided his way to the Slovenian blue line and got poke-checked. 2-0 Slovenia. Austrian PP never had zone time. for the whole 2 minutes. Austria is asleep this period. Shots are pretty even but not a single good chance for Austria. Slovenia has hit two posts, scored twice and had at least 3 A++ quality scoring chances either miss or get stopped.
Austria is terrible tonight. Vanek is a turnover machine and after turning the puck over at his blueline he just skated away to line change. Did the same thing on the shorthanded goal not long ago. Austria gets caught with too many men on a brutal line change by the linesman

Slovenia is turning into the little nation that could. Go tiny Slovenia go. Crush your colonial oppressors!

That should be easy tonight lol. Austria is a total no show after 1 period. Not complaining though, I want them to win too!
YES FINALLY! I have been waiting all tourney long for the play by play guy to say Dennis Rodman during a Slovenian game!
Kovacevic fire a rocket! 3-0 Slovenia!

3-0 Slovenia. The more this game goes on the less comfortable I feel about Canada given that that 6-0 finish against Austria is meaning less and less

If there's any other swedes here, a heads up for you: Håkan Södergren just promised to sing "nu tar vi dem" live in the studio if Sweden loses to Slovenia in the quarterfinal. Now I'm split about wanting Sweden to win because I would like to see him sing it.

Anyways Datsyuk, Malkin and Kovalchuk are turn over machines. For Kovy thats nothing new but the other two guys usually have a 5:1 Takeaway:Giveaway ratio or better. Russia's dump and chase game could use some work too lol
Also the CBC guys are ripping into Popov. It's hilarious Glenn Healy was pretending to think like Ovechkin and asked if Popov won a contest to play on his line. Then during the power play they were saying if popov was a penguin, Malkin would break down Dan Bylsma's door saying get this idiot off the power play

ok there was a half minute burst in the end of the period when they finally played like they should. Just play 10 more minutes of that and then can slow down. Kovy after period one: "still nervous, need to calm down". No comments.
