Yeah snatches or even a snatch pull like that are usually out of the grasp of your average gym goer, but doing them light from the hang like i said is fairly easy and torches the upper back and shoulder even with just the bar.

P.S. you never said what to do instead of skull crushers for them triceps~!
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

Phat certainly looks to incorporate much of what I was looking for, but my God Batman, the volume! 5 days a week including heavy ass lifting the first two. Could I really do this on a caloric deficit without simply dying, immediately and spectacularly?

Do single arm tricep extensions with a dumbbell over the head instead of skull crushers. Skull crushers are one of the worst exercises out there in that they they punish you for increasing strength. Stay away if you intend to keep lifting into the years.

Yes, you can. First weeks are going to be tough, but you'll get through them fine. Make sure you keep your rest periods to 40s-1min on the hypertrophy exercises so you don't spend a gazillion hours in the gym. Should be able to get the 25 sets done in an hour or so after a few weeks.

PHUL is very similar to PHAT if you prefer 4 days to 5.

Bench Press, Overhead Press, Push Press, Klokov Press is all I do.

Dips, overhead push ups and tricep pushdowns are all cool.

Yeah on my press days I've just been doing either OHP or Bench, then dips or dumbell press/bench and then random tricep accessory like pushdowns or w/e. Pull days are rows or pull ups, db row or pull downs, and then random bicep/back accessory.

I miss squats

Trying out the upper body hypertrophy from phat right now. Three different kinds of curls with 2-3 sets each back to back. How complicated can you make curls anyway lol?

Also, spider curls make me feel like a retard.

For anyone struggling to find jeans to fit around squat thighs and ass, I just got a pair of these in:

Anyone have any experience working triathlon preparation into their workout routine. Probably just going to start a day or two a week swimming/running/biking and keep my 3 lifting days a week but yeah, I need to write it out so I don't miss consistency and haven't decided how to do it yet.

If you're legitimately going to prepare for a triathlon, there will come a point where you should be doing very little lifting, and what little you do is purely to try and conserve as much mass as possible.

Right, I have 7 months exactly at this point. So it makes sense to gradually shift lifting to the "cardio" stuff. I'm planning on legitimately training for a sprint but yeah I want to conserve my gainz.

Why are you doing it? You need to learn to swim/bike/run properly and do a shitload of cardio, a thriatlon is extremely brutal, it's not a fun run.

Challenge, accomplishment etc. I was a runner in high school/college I'm not terribly worried but I want to do it right. I also plan on doing a double lap of a tough mudder this spring

Thank you for this. Just to clarify, what is your waist size, and is the waist size you use for anything really the same here? Just wondering because any jeans I've bought or pants in general have forced me to buy around two sizes bigger waist than I normally would because otherwise they're too tight and wont fit. For example, I have around 32 waist, but I normally buy 34 waist size just to fit my thighs and ass.

I'm 6'1 100kg with a 32-34 waist. Went with the 34W 32L. I usually have to go up to a 36W to get something that will fit me.

Hang power clean x 3 + power jerk x3 40 50 60kg

Today:
Press 5x5 @ 145lbs (yay progress)
DB Press 3x8 @ 50lbs
Cable press down 3x8
Overhead tricep press superset w/ curls 3x8 @ 65lbs

Hey theres like 3 non bro things in there! Not squatting is slowly killing me inside.

More physical therapy tonight which basically involves destroying my glute meds and endless lunges/balance work.
