In a hypothetical LAC MIA final: 1. Who guards LeBron? 2. Who guards Blake? 3. Who guards CP? I would guess the Heat go small, LeBron and Black take one another, and Chalmers hounds Paul, but that's a guess.

Phoenix finally starting to fade but I wouldn't count them out yet.
And I'm gonna say it: CP3 isn't the best player on the Clips anymore. Well at least point out that that's because the Blakeshow has been amazballs lately and not because CP3 has gotten old or something. (His 3pt shot has deserted him a bit of late tho. Injury related?) Chris Paul? He's never been much of a 3 point shooter. Has he ever beat 40% from three in his career? I checked, and yes he was juuuust over 40% in 09-10, but mostly he's been mid 30's with some flux. Since the all-star break though he's 5/21 which is horrific, and a significant drop off from his usual. Don't think of Cp3 as a Josh Smith-esque 3point shooter but that's what he's been doing lately.

I think Chalmers is a slightly underrated PG really. He doesn't have the most impressive stats, but when I see him play, he usually takes good care of the ball and can be a pretty decent defender. He could definitely give CP3 some trouble if they met in the finals.
Chris Andersen would probably do well vs Blake too. Both are pretty physical players, and Andersen definitely has the size to matchup with Griffin.

I know the west is super strong but I really feel like Spurs will make the finals again. And a west team will probably take it all.

I don't think it's size you have to worry about with Griffin, it's quickness. He's a great athlete, so I would bet LeBron would take him and they'd throw their big on Jordan.

But he's only taken 20 3s. It's just not a big part of his game. He should be hitting more though.

I would guess the Heat go small, LeBron and Black take one another, and Chalmers hounds Paul, but that's a guess. Nope, LeBron would spend very little time on Blake. If you look back at the Pacers/Heat series last year, LeBron absolutely hated having to guard West when the Heat went small. While Blake isn't as much of a bruiser as West is, LeBron would get worn down.
And I wouldn't put Blake on LeBron either.

You'd put Matt Barnes defending Lebron, and Battier defending Blake. At least until crunch time, that's how I see things turning out.
I don't see much point in superstars defending other superstars. Superstars almost always beat their first defender, it's the quality of the help defense that matters.

I guess that could work, and just have LeBron outscore him against Barnes (which seems like a decent strategy).

As if the Clippers would make the finals...
Actually, now that Blake is #1 PF its possible. Having a great big is super valuable.

lol the worst shooting team in the league and we give up 54% shooting and 9-11 from threes. pathetic

You guys are so inconsistent, but potent. I can see you getting to the finals just as easily as I can see you getting swept in the first round.

It's official. Noah is a god and is the best centre in the league.
|
Almost had a triple-double last night. Best passing big man in the league
edit: And Thibodeau has coached more games without Rose than with him in the rotation

Kevin Love would have something to say about that.

cautiously optimistic about phil jackson as knicks president. dolan please stay the fuck away. the team is so short of good assets though it hurts. pretty much a lebron or bust situation
|
LOL what the fuck is Phil Jackson supposed to do? They have either traded or given swap rights for every first rounder until 2017
They have no second rounders until 2018
Melo, for whom they still owe a first rounder this year and the rights to swap next year, could walk for nothing in free agency and they are so far over the cap it wouldn't even give them cap space.
Raymond Felton and JR Smith have PLAYER OPTIONS in 2015-16 which means they are stuck with them for the next 3 years.
They are paying Amare Stoudemire's Knees 23 million next season.
Shump is not taking the next step and may even be getting worse due to the toxic environment.
The only bright spot on the horizon is Tim Hardaway Jr being better than expected.
Almost forgot, they traded 3 draft picks for 11 million dollars of this:

Heat and LeBron have been not great since his 61 point game. Lost 5 of last 6

the knicks may not have much basketball asset but they are in the biggest market with the best fanbase. idc if they suck now but watch ticket prices when they are good.
