He hasn't proven anything yet in Barcelona. To be fair Neymar cannot show his full potential with Messi on the pitch with him, it's just retarded. These 2 players need freedom and people playing for them, it was reaaally stupid to buy him. And at what price?... Like Ysellian said, with that amount of money, they could have bought a world class defender + a world class striker (Suarez would have been a perfect fit indeed :p). His transfer crippled Barcelona for 2 seasons, as they had to pay a part of the transfer the year before and they could only afford Song (who isn't a big success either, but it's not really his fault). The team needs severe changes before they can accomplish something big again He's already better than Alexis was in his first season and he has way more potential as well. I don't disagree it's a bad transfer though since they already have plenty of alternatives offensively and they need defenders instead but I still believe it's a better transfer than the Bale one.

Our national team coach said he will be leaving after the WC, so sad. Rehhagel and Santos did wonderful things for us, I just hope we find a worthy replacement.

Neymar could top score by a country mile and still some people would whine about it.
Based on this latest info though there is no doubt that the payed 50 odd million for a signature and all the hoopla that comes with it and the rest for the player himself.

I have a question to Calcio fans, Is Albiol playing a good year in the Napoles?
When He was in R.Madrid, usually when Del Bosque called him people used to rage "he is so bad, why, etc.", but this year it is different.
btw, I suppose Reina shouldn't go, but third goalkeeper is not going to plain anyway, and He is a funny guy.

Pedro, Negredo, Costa sound much better that last time Villa, Torres, Soldado xDDDDD

Eighteen-year-old Bayern forward Julian Green has been called up to train with the USA. Hopefully he'll choose us over Germany.

Kid has talent, that's for sure, but it's too early to call him that. Maybe a change of environment will do good for him, because he would not get better in Dinamo.

Good news! Eintracht Braunschweigs coach Lieberknecht got a 2 year contract extension. Braunschweig currently hold the last place in the Bundesliga. A few years ago they were close to falling down into the amateur leagues but Lieberknecht did one hell of a job climbing the ladder : ) . I like it. They did not forget his achievements after half a season. Welcome change in the scene.

Well spain obliterated everything basically without a striker and now they have Diego Costa too. Ridiculous.

David Villa is not a striker? David Villa is one of the two reasons Spain won the WC in 2010, Casillas being the other.

Exactly, plus they have experience playing in Brazil climate thanks to last seasons Confederations cup so they were already my favorites in which i backed them with a nice £25 bet :D Then they discover Costa who is playing awesome, along with Negredo who is having a really good season to be even stronger than they were finishing 2nd place in Confederations Cup. Only Spain not showing up will cause them to not win it this time imo.

You can't have experience playing in a climate. The human body doesn't work that way. You need to grow up in such a climate to be able to adapt to it. Brazil are massive favourites for this WC. As long as they don't get too nervous they win it
It's ridicilous how Europeans keep trying to play down the climate. The climate will destroy teams

Having felt that way, how all the backroom scientists and what not etcetc have all seen it they can prepare much better than those who have not played a 3 week tournament in it (or however long it was). They have an advantage over every other team who have not experienced that yet. You say Brazlians have grown up in it but how many of those Brazilians play in Brazil? Hardly any of them? I would say more are outside of Brazil in Europe playing. They don't even play home friendlies either much so you can't even say at least they go back for x or y amount of times a year xD
I still see Spain winning it But of course thats my opinion, would be nice to have someone else win it...Maybe England can go Chelsea on everyone :DDDD

Premier League sides Manchester City are believed to be among the clubs involved, along with French club Paris St Germain.
The clubs have been asked to give updated financial statements to an independent UEFA-appointed panel monitoring their finances.
UEFA says it will announce the first sanctions against clubs in April and more serious cases will be judged by June.
The European body's general secretary Gianni Infantino said: "This figure of 76 clubs is a high figure but it has to be looked at in the perspective of what the end figure will be."
UEFA's rules for FFP state that clubs will be punished by potential bans from European competition if they do not balance their books, allowing them to lose only €45m (£38m) over a three-year period - provided these losses are covered by a benefactor.
There is also a requirement to keep up to date with 'overdue payables', such as taxes and player wages.

Climate and continent is a very huge factor. Some stats:
7 WCs celebrated in America : 7 America team wins 10 WCs celebrated in Europe: 9 Europe team wins 1 America team win 1 WCs in Asia: America team victory 1 WCs in Africa: Europa team victory
As you can see, America teams always win in America, Europe teams always win in Europe. The only exception in all history is 1958 Sweeden WC won by Brazil.
Spain can win tough, but it is going to be very hard.

exactly, as someone who has moved around the world a lot I know how hard it is to adapt to a foreign climate
Brazil WC will either have tons of goals (because no one has the strength of closing down a team for 90min) or a huge lack of goal (because everyone will play at a slow pace)
