It's just some work thingy, we're like 8 people but we're renting a hall every monday. Today I was a bit late and when I entered the like, arena-complex which the hall is part of, the entire Rosenborg squad was right in front of me. I kinda jogged past them cuz I was late, got eye contact with a couple and like a semi-hi, turns out they were going curling in the hall next to ours instead of having actual practice haha.
My friend is norwegian and he was telling me about how the league champions of norway had a friendly in Spain with CSKA Moscow....to say it didn't go to well was an understatement. League champions of Norway 0-15 CSKA Moscow. Ouch xD The norwegian team had like 10 injured and unavailable players and basically only a couple of their own actual starting players, and they asked cska to either postpone or just cancel the match, but cska refused. Strømsgodset (norwegian league champions) ended up having to borrow 8 players from some nearby spanish amateur teams, and both their manager and assistant manager ended up playing as well- and they retired from football in 2008 and 2010 respectively. Basically a complete farce, the referee stopped the match after 83 minutes cuz there was no point. :D It was Lokomotiv Moscow, not CSKA

Oh...hahaha XD He didn't do so well or?

he came to a club which was supposed to be a CL spot contender (or EL spot atleast) but finished 9th (out of 16 teams). I think you can say he didn't do so well, and a woman being chairman in Lokomotiv didn't help him also a lot of people think she has no clue what to do with football club lol

Neymar is well on his way to become the most expensive football player of all time
suddenly real buying bale doesnt look so horrible anymore lol, at least he was cheaper xd

Spanish newspapers reporting that neymar has cost barca 100mil already and there might be more to come

Galatasaray going to buy German club SG Wattenscheid.
Our chairman said that they're going to be our infrastructure base in EU.

Neymar cost 86.2 million euros as revealed by Barcelona so that would make him cheaper than Bale who was 100mil I believe. Still it is bizarrely expensive for a player with a one year contract. I know he was majority owned by Papa Neymar, but you could have had Suarez for that kind of money.

Well so far, neymar has outplayed bale in every department, so it's money well spent, lol.

Well they also had to make a deal with the Spanish tax regulation service (or whatever it's called) to the amount of €13,5m according to some Dutch football sites. So that would put it right around €100m. Not sure if those numbers are included in transfer fees though.
And nah Steveling, I don't think Neymar had that much of a bigger impact than Bale did at Real. Couple that with the fact that Bale's best position is filled with Ronaldo, then I think he's been doing ok at Madrid.

If you think that neymar was the key player for super cup and clasico victories as well as how important for brazil he was during the confederations up I think he's miles ahead bale, since both of them have to prove they are worth the huge sum paid for them.
And I didn't say he's doing bad, just that ney is doing much better so far.

Hmm good point, I'm not sure myself if taxes are included in the transfer fee or not.
Anyway Neymar is a great player and in potential a possible great, but that kind of money could have been better spent. Bolstering the defense, giving Thiago a better contract to persuade him to stay and with the remaining money buy Suarez

As Twisted mentioned you need to add in the tax money that Barca had to pay a few days ago.

I doubt it, they apparantly think the taxes they paid will be reimbursed because they didnt really owe them but would rather put the chapter to bed and ask for the money back rather than vice versa.
But yeah this amount of money could have been way better spent.

I also thought that Neymar was better than Bale. However, the more i watch Bale, the more i rate him higher than Neymar.

On one of the polish football websites I read that the sum for Neymar can go up to 111 mln euro total, should things go against Barca.

Wouldn't the fact that RM paid 100m for someone on a position which is already filled and where they have a talented young player be exactly the reason why it's a bad transfer. At least Neymar can play in his own spot and do it for years to come and he's better than the alternatives.
