"I have a team, but no striker," Canal Plus claim the Chelsea manager said. "Falcao does not have a team. A player like him can't play in front of 3,000 people. Monaco is a club to end [your career with]."
Lol he has a point xd He speaks the truth bluntly which people don't like Also his interview would of been done in English and translated into French to then be translated back into English so might be a few words and phrases that were not properly said in these kind of interviews xD
I wonder who Chelsea sign in the summer though i wouldn't mind any of the ones mentioned so far. (Cavani Falcao Costa)
That's just disrespectful. Good luck for him negociating with Monaco now. Sad thing is he probably knows everything about Monaco's history (7 times L1 champions, 2 ECL semi finals and 1 final). All of it without an audience Let's see if they can buy fans, like chelsea did
Just want to point something out, but Chelsea certainly didn't need Abramovich to fill their stadium. The average attendance of Monaco is an absolute joke for a team that spends as much as Monaco do.

Mourinho speaks French fluently. He does all the interviews with the French media in French.
I agree with him on the Monaco assessment, what world class player wants to play in front of just 3000 people every week at home?
Yea he's being harsh on Eto'o, who I thought has been ok. Torres, unfortunately, has been crap. Should have kept Lukaku, they'd be just as good and would be developing a youngster.
for the record, actual average attendance in monaco is 9500 (2nd worst in L1); stadium has 18k seats, Monaco has 36k inhabitants.
and no they didnt came back to L1 because they were bought out, but because they always had great homegrown players. Cash didnt hurt but they didnt spent much last year

Expectations are too high on Chelsea, they want a striker that scores constantly. He can come Gala and miss as much as he can. come to Gala Torres! :3
With a change of scenery he'd probably be fine again. Maybe the pressure is over the top at Chelsea for him?
I think Torres has the same problem as Mario Gomez in Munich or Ibrahimovich with Barca. They are all great players and can be deadly strikers and all produce 25+ goals a season in any league but to be efficient they need a system that is made for them which is problematic because most top teams are more evolving around their defensive midfield.
I went to football practice today, first time in like 9 months. It's just some work thingy, we're like 8 people but we're renting a hall every monday. Today I was a bit late and when I entered the like, arena-complex which the hall is part of, the entire Rosenborg squad was right in front of me. I kinda jogged past them cuz I was late, got eye contact with a couple and like a semi-hi, turns out they were going curling in the hall next to ours instead of having actual practice haha.

My friend is norwegian and he was telling me about how the league champions of norway had a friendly in Spain with CSKA Moscow....to say it didn't go to well was an understatement. League champions of Norway 0-15 CSKA Moscow. Ouch xD

Well, I am certain they would beat Barcelona at curling.

I was there. Markovic plays football the same way I play FIFA. 3 or 4 times he got the ball and tried to dribble and out-run everyone in front of him. He'd pass 4 or 5 guys like a hot knife through butter... kinda Messiesque I'd even say. Too bad he's earmarked for Chelsea.

The norwegian team had like 10 injured and unavailable players and basically only a couple of their own actual starting players, and they asked cska to either postpone or just cancel the match, but cska refused. Strømsgodset (norwegian league champions) ended up having to borrow 8 players from some nearby spanish amateur teams, and both their manager and assistant manager ended up playing as well- and they retired from football in 2008 and 2010 respectively. Basically a complete farce, the referee stopped the match after 83 minutes cuz there was no point. :D

I really think that rosenborg in late 90s, that's one of the very best teams related to resources spent that has ever existed. Like every season there was some article about how one of the teams they were gonna face off against in the CL had a single player who costed more and had higher salary than the entire rosenborg team combined, but every season they played incredible football and was totally competitive, although there were occasional ugly results on away field. xD
Was a golden generation of local players coupled with Nils Arne Eggen's total coaching genius, afraid it won't ever happen again. :'(
