His mid-range and finishing at the rim needs work. Needs to get to the line more also. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/t/thompkl01.html i thought his mid rangers were excellent, but he definitely needs to attack the rim more, he does so every few games but not often enough given his shooting capabilities

As good of a three-point shooter as Thompson is, he struggles inside the arc. In the 2012-13 season, Thompson shot just 47 for 150 from 5 to 14 feet away from the basket according to NBA.com, good for just 31.3%. Even worse, he shot 20 for 92 (21.7%) inside the paint, but outside of the restricted area underneath the basket. That’s right, a shooter like Klay Thompson ranked 391st in the NBA. Of course, everyone (save for Doug Collins) understands that the most efficient shots in the game are at the rim and beyond the arc. So Thompson’s issues with the mid-range game would be permissible if he was an outstanding finisher at the rim. But he really isn’t, finishing 229th in the league in 2012-13 in field goal percentage at the rim, shooting 112 for 189 (59.3%). http://fansided.com/2013/05/10/klay-thompson-strengths-and-weakness-of-breakout-stars-game/

He has a decent mid-range game if he can get good looks. Trouble is he has the tendency to play hero-ball and take silly low percentage shots inside the arc. At the rim, he still looks a bit timid to me. He doesn't have the fearless nature of someone like Westbrook when attacking the rim. That and he's not really a super athletic guy so I think he can find it difficult to utilise physicality to create easier shots at the rim.

Ever since the Sonics moved my fandom has tended to be more of "follow Bogut around". The Dubs were a really cool team to watch last year so it'd be a shame if Bogut left them. It'll be a shame to not see the potential of that team with Bogut playing a full season. I've suffered through many years of Milwaukee basketball so I'd hope Bogues doesn't get traded to some scrub team. It's likely he'll get traded to at least a fringe Playoff team at worst so who knows. If he somehow got flipped to OKC that would be awesome. I think that would make the Thunder Western favourites for sure.

I'm thinking he'll be a lower ceiling but more consistent Ginobili type, which is really important because the Spurs essentially lost the finals because Parker got gassed. as did Duncan. i think he spent his last real push in the first half of game 6. i really think the spurs put all their cards on the table in that first half and they let the title slip. unfortunate ~_~! also, i'd take harrison barnes over klay thompson any day. i feel like barnes has more versatility and upside. klay is going to be a good, consistent shooter but not much of a playmaker or defendewr.

I hope the Lakers don't take back Asik or Lin. Maybe Lin. edit:I'd take either of them. I know Klay's childhood dream is/was to be a Laker though so he would def play hard.
