Raph deserved a red, for kicking in anger. spot on. too many people here cry about "diving" like they've never played a game of football. If you get kicked hard enough you tend to want to "give way" to the guy kicking you, it is a lot less painful that way. Some people misconstrue this as diving, when in fact you're just protecting yourself. Now, the people who go down without being touched are indeed a disgrace, but Luiz had a legitimate reason to sell that foul.

Week in week out this season there hasnt been anything painfully amiss. I dont think theres anything wrong with the David Luiz situation, whether he got hurt or not is irrelevant, its a red card but just keep his reaction in mind regardless that he wasnt hurt and he sold it .. There arent too many high profile acting incidents involving Busquets in particular recently. The micro scope just gets larger when people insist on hating on a series of misdemeanors, I guess Drogba dives are short for the memory.. my word the double standards..

Though I agree with you, it's annoying that no one seems to remember dives unless the player plays for Barca, is of Spanish nationality, or is Luis Suarez.

I'm not even sure if he dived against Chelsea in the famous meme pic. They were so mad for the "bad ref calls" they had to take it on someone. No one remembers the red on Abidal for not touching a guy or the clear penalty by Beckham tho. Still fun how people consider way worse to dive than to use unfair tackles all game long without seeing a yellow card lol. Alpha males yo.

Oh well! Not long to go footballer lovers! The season draws ever closer around Europe with some already finished. I'm going to attempt a write up of every league we have covered (the ones in the OP for example). If anyone wants to write up a piece for their domestic league then please PM me before the end of May. The write up will be posted on the 2nd of June! Please if you do write up a piece on your domestic league that you keep it as no bias as possible ![]() I will probably just blog the write up, and i am pretty happy to write up all the domestic leagues we cover myself but i thought i'd give people the opportunity to do theirs if they want too ![]() I'll also add it to this OP as well, and probably use them somehow in next season's OP too.

Not 'genius', but it's always interesting to see that every small detail is analyzed by these managers ![]()

Speaking in his pre match press conference ahead of the vital game against Tottenham he has said; The next year there will be another manager. I think everybody knows who will be here. xD

Who will be available for them? Benitez? I doubt it... But Klopp/Heynckes (as mentionned before) don't seem possible... Klopp doesn't want to leave and Heynckes, if he doesn't retire, would probably not accept a 3 years contract, which is what they need if they want to start a new cycle... And I'm not sure that Madrid has the same aura they had several years ago, when being on their list to be the manager was like 'a dream come true' (a bit exagerated but you get the idea :p)... With all the circus that Mou created I'm not sure it helped in that sense either... So, attracting coaches that aren't 'free' will be very difficult: Conte, Ancelotti, Klopp, Wenger, etc...

I don't forget that Drogba dived a shit load. He was crazy theatrical but it was almost to the point of farce with him, and he so rarely got people penalised after his reputation started to work against him. He was just funny but there's no doubt that if someone wants to call him a cock for diving I won't argue. But I will say, 9 goals in 9 finals, there isn't really a more majestic stat in single player football.

that said, i don't understand why they always leave it to the last moment to pull out results, maybe they don't deserve to be in the top flight after all. >.> can't wait for chelsea vs spurs. KTBFFH!

KTBFFH! Same here, I really hope Wigan can stay up again. Their run last year and the football they play has given me a soft spot for them.

People usually hates Barcelona too much for the dives, but Barcelona is one of the cleanest teams in the world. They make normally few faults. But nobody merit them that, because Busquets or Dani Alves "dive" too much. And Messi never dives ![]()
