Australia is about to lose the Ashes for the first time in 16 years
I thought I'd make this thread as group therapy for my fellow Aussies (we can assign blame ) and for the English to give us some shit.
First the Rugby, now the Cricket. Is the League next, or maybe Tim Henman will actually win vs an Aussie tennis player. Who knows in these crazy days. Boo England.

Cricket is the most boring and tedious sport to man.
But wayhey gogo England.

Bob, Australia has not lost the ashes... They have simply lost to unfortunate circumstances. The england tailenders are in and in 25 overs both sides will recognise poor weather (how typical of england) and light decisions saved england from a possible loss.
EDIT: I do realise that on paper officially england win, but missed opportunity at edgbaston and now, the what-should-have been australia win at the oval warrants a useless result. We will never know who the better team was....
|
...We had to chase 330 to win this test (the Oval). That is no easy feat on a 4th innings wicket. And England deserved to win at Edgbaston, I'm just surprised we came so close.
I hate to say it, but England has been the better team in the series and deserves the win. I'm just disappointed at how badly Australia played. A lot of the players looked like they just didn't care. =[

wahoo!
just how many overs were lost to the weather? only 18 were lost at the end

Hahaha, this reminds me of that under-water basket weaving thread. Good times, good times.
Ah shit, thought this was in general, but anyhow, anyone care to explain just wtf it is you're talking about?
