I fucking love it when someone exudes a manly yell when lifting heavy shit, good stuff sJarl. Whenever I'm yelling though I get in trouble in my shitty gym instead of being congratulated for living heavy shit.

Move to vikingland, problem solved.
@gotunk, you planning on doing the second part? (my spreadsheet calls it "feduleyev intense mesocycle, think it's more for tapering towards meets) restarting the program, or moving on to something more balanced? I don't remember what your next goals were. Also, post maxes! Can't wait to see what kind of changes you've made over these three weeks.
nice lift sjarl! Thanks for the advice, he has been walking for an hour or two the last couple months. I think he's doing better than after the last surgery.

If he hasn't had any problems with the daily walks I'd say he could prolly do some band stuffs and perhaps do the mobility wods? They are easy and might be great to correct years of inactivity.
The key is low intensity and slowly adding more in.
roll on fuckin wednesday , when i can give bench press another shot, with a wider grip . been using super close grip by accident, my chest is really narrow now tt . hope i dont damage myself-_-
Today was SUCH a good session. Holy shit, I didnt have problems getting up, fixed my squat (feels so gooood), fixed my girl troubles AND set a bench PR. LIKE A BOSS.

good job! I have a new deadlift record as well... sort of. 180kgx2 with no gear whatsoever (my best was 182.5kgx1 with belt)
so I was doing coan/phillipi week 4 workout today and as usual, I felt like dying. but then I started thinking: the human mind is remarkably good at "forgetting" pain and suffering. I mean, last week's workout was just as brutal, but somehow I cant remember how I felt during that time - on the contrary: when I think back to a workout I always get the feeling that it actually was kind of easy, even when I almost died during the actual workout.
not sure I explained this very well lol :D does anyone know what i'm talking about or have similar experiences?

yeah youre right, remember every time you get sick (flu) and think "damn it felt so good to NOT be ill, why didnt i enjoy it more!/why did i take it for granted!"
yo so i don't know how this goes down in tl h&f but uhh i decided to start working out a little about two/three weeks ago so i started doing that starting strength program (how long should i stick to this before moving on to something harder?) fyi i'm 170cm and weigh 62kg, so i'm trying to bulk up a little
now, i want to start eating right but i'm absolutely clueless in this department, never really cared about eating before this anyway i'm korean and we love our pork and our kimchi and our rice
other than that i got eggs and chicken and the occasional salad.. that's about it, drinking a bunch of milk, eating an apple or two a day (that's as far as my fruits go) eating about 4 times a day too anything else i should be eating? or not eating?
edit: guess i should ask about warm ups too, clueless
that red bottle is tilting the shit out of me lol it looks like you have a fake leg because of it! also the "sleeve" of the shorts being longer on your right side doesn't help! :D great lift

welcome! generally you stay on starting strength until you have to deload your squat 2-3 times, for most people thats about 3-5 months (genetically gifted people can progress linearly longer). and trust me, its gonna get hard enough
I dont know what kimchi is, but rice is ok, especially if you want to bulk up. most of us also recommend paleo diet (with whole milk and rice added in for extra calories). paleo means you eat only "real" food, meaning no proccessed food like pasta or bread. eat protein with every meal and add some veggies because they are good for you! thats about it. here is a good thread to get you started
