If someone was in Kirk kowalskis squat rack when he got to the gym they had five minutes to leave before he started throwing 45 pound plates. People don't fuck around with people throwing plates.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

I used machines before I came across this forum because free weights were intimidating and just looked like you would hurt yourself. Now that I've made the switch I can say you don't feel the same after doing a month or two of barbell exercises than you do after machines. Way more solid and strong. Just anecdotal though. I would encourage anyone that has the opportunity to at least try free weights.

Losing fat on IF is such a cakewalk. Doesn't even feel like I'm dieting when I can't fit my PWO meal on a single plate, lol.
I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.

IDK, I came over here thinking I knew something when I was using a crappy HIT training schedule with machines and contraptions. People said it sucked, but offered proper training program as an alternative. I didn't feel intimidated by it, but then again, I was determined to get fit, so it wasnt much of a 'lets see if I like this'. It was something I already decided to do.

Regardless, after some time with barbell training, I honestly feel much stronger all around, much healthier, and overall enjoy life more. It gives me such joy to think that with each passing week I'm stronger than ever before in my life. It's still painful to sometimes realize that my form has been bad in some aspects so far, and be forced to deload in order to fix it properly. However, it's simply awesome. It gives me what I've been seeking, and I can't imagine anyone being so vain as to care about immediate looks and put them ahead of actual strength that is useful in real life.
I still keep pitying the people who keep using machines, squat with bad form etc, but at least they ensure that the rack is usually free without having to wait to use it lol. Then again, if less people used weird contraptions, there would be way more racks, as there should be

Having inadequate calories on school meal plan is blasphemy.

Any good easy (microwave / hot water pot only) recipes for cheap calories? I've been doing quarter gomad, but I dont have hte fridge space or the time to get more than that.

cook up some good shit at home the day before and bring it in a microwavable tupperware container. like some pan-seared beef or chicken, boneless pork chops, steamed broccoli, carrots, kale, collard greens, spinach, white rice.

i usually cook a whole bunch of stuff at once that lasts 2 or 3 days, with enough variety that i don't get bored of eating these "leftovers"

Hey guys, wanted your opinion on something. I think I might be going about it wrong.

At the moment I'm doing 5 days of workouts, 1 hour each day one body part each day. I've been working out for a year and a half. I think my method might be wrong since I'm not achieving much anymore. My eating is perfectly fine, I'm hitting all my macros with lean protein, complex carbs and healthy fats. Are there any programs or any way for me to optimize my own training routine?

why don't you just buy milk while you are on campus

when i did my 3/4 gomad, I'd drink 2 of my 3 quarters at school, in two different sittings

choco milk is delicious and great post workout (try to get the ones made from whole milk)

You can easy meals without microwave/hot water. I cook 3kg's of chicken twice a week; seems enough for lunch and dinner. Just bring your rice chicken veggies in tupperware and om nom nom. Fuck the haters.

get potatoes and microwave 'em. Might need a knife to clean it up a bit but it's really minimal work.

Updated my wardrobe for the winter today, bought two sweaters size L. Same time last year, I just started to fit into my 3XL shirts again and put the 5-6XL ones into the basement. Unreal.
