I did 140kgx5x9, and like 70x30 but had to stop because my hands just couldn't hand it. I can see myself doing 300x10x10 with straps. Still, great way to train grip. Also tried reverse barbell curls, another good way to strength grip. Gonna do it after deadlifts on saturdays. PS: Decaf quit rugby, become klokov. Just noticed this post, good thing you posted it, I've been losing grip strength like a motherfucker and have droped a lot on my DL. Any other good way to train my grip? Except for, you know, deadlifts? Wendler recommends heavy, high rep, cheating DB rows. Also rack pulls and farmers walks. and make sure you're doing most of your DLs with double overhand. Depends on your weakness. Since my pronated (looking down) is always my weak point, reverse barbell curls seems to work for me (plus I never do curls, and bigger biceps that dont tear on deadlifts can help)

I will take the rest of this year really serious to try and reach these goals, as my year hasn't been very serious at all. I have been having a hard time progressing in both the squat and then DL. No matter how hard I force my knees out they still cave in under heavy loads, and I really dont want to do anything with bad form. I don't really know what to do to stop my knees from caving in ![]()

Right now, I'm 7.5kg over my squat goal and I plan to add another 7.5kg in the next month so I'm very pleased with that. I've got 15kg to go on deadlift, which will be tough but possible. The real problem comes in with the chest exercises where I first had a wrist injury and then an elbow injury. I've got 12.5kg to go with press which will be very difficult to reach. I also have 20kg to go with bench and 20kg to go with chin-ups, which once again I almost certainly won't make. I guess that's just how it goes. You're still pretty damn strong so I'd be pretty happy if I were you!

You're still pretty damn strong so I'd be pretty happy if I were you! Haha yeah, I'm not too upset. The only lift that's currently annoying me is my bench, which has been stuck on 1xBW for the last 6 months because of a string of small but annoying injuries. I'm happy that I haven't lost any strength in my bench at least, so now that I'm working at it again I'm hoping to make some good gains in the next few months, maybe get to the big 100kg before the end of the year (rather than by 1 November as I had initially hoped). We'll just have to see how it goes ![]()

I feel like in a couple of months, I'll be able to smash through my old PRs and start catching up to you. Watch your back Dai ![]() edit: lol unintentional double entendre
