I have a question to most of you guys. When does one stop SS? I have been squatting 3x5 three times a week for a while now. I squat 107kg for 3x5, DL 126kg for 1x5 and I weigh ~76kg.
My progress has been really slow lately, but still some progress. I would like to try a routine focused on squatting, but I'm still only within the intermediate range according to exrx.net
You stop once you have deloaded each lift 2 or 3 times. (I deloaded 3 times on each left).
I would highly recommend madcows after SS.

I'm in the middle of a deload right now, guess I will switch over once I stall. I'm cutting too, so I will prolly take madcows pretty easy to start with.
My wrist is really bad, so I can't really bench, dips seem fine tho. I suppose I would swap out bench with dips?

Yeah the first 4 weeks of Madcows is pretty easy as it leads up to the weights your are lifting now.
so for example if your squat max is 315 x 5 week 1 - 292 week 2 - 299 week 3 - 307 week 4 - 315
This calculator is really really helpful - http://www.vicjg.com/aspx/madcowint.aspx

Wow, that site is pretty sweet, thanks. I found an excel sheet tho, seems much the same, but only a 8week interval. Also on madcow you do Row/Clean for 8 reps on one day? I gas out after like a triple, lol
|
I did power cleans for SS and then rows for madcows. I think if your are going to do bodybuilding style training (even later on) rows are better for your upper back. (in my opinion of course)
Also the 8 reps is a lower weight so you should be fine!!
You've probably read this I'm sure but just incase you hadn't this link is great as well. Explains everything you need to know

Yeah, read that page a couple of times, read the training primer too. I don't plan on doing bodybuilding, and I love cleans.
Thanks for all the information btw :D

Woot, my wife spotted some cheap interlocking floor mat at Walmart, and grabbed it for me. Now I've got something I can practice some of my TKD technique on at home without shredding my feet, or the carpet.

That is pretty rare.
My girlfriend thinks SC2 is pretty geeky. Throwing loads of time into Solitaire and Mahjong is fine though.

Not like her. Or useful, or functional as humans.

Hey, it beats the ones that think Farmville is PC gaming, right?

That's one hell of an attempt. What weight class was that at?
|
So close DimSum. The depth of your jerk position is pretty god damn amazing.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, failed squat jerks scare the living hell out of me. DimSum you badass, I swear you could've power jerked it without having to go into the squat.
