I wouldn't be in med school if I didn't know how to study You can preach time management, sleeping, exercise all you want. Like I've said, I already do most of those things well. I'm looking for minor added benefits, nothing extreme.
Notice how I haven't talked about Ritalin, Adderall, etc. ? Cause those are what I'd consider to be 'drugs'. Yes, technically everything is a drug...but stuff like Adderall and whatnot has significant downsides. I can't really find any for supplements at all.
PS: Rhodiola Rosea is an herb! Not even a manmade drug.

So is Marijuana lol :p
But yeah, idk switch to Arts? (jokes jokes)
I was really tempted to pursue Law. Had finished my LSATs with flying colors and all the electives I took that had anything to do with Law or logic philosophy...I got high grades. I think I was really stoned the day I chose to pursue medicine instead of law, haha. My memories from that day are super hazy...
Deadlift today: 188,5kg x 8. That was a nice workout, two more reps than I expected. I am going on vacation on the 11th and probably won't be able to lift for 10 days. Maybe I will try a max my Deadlift on thursday, if I feel recovered enough. We'll see
So I got my wife to go to the gym with me today. It was quite the experience haha...
She's 5 ft and weighs 108lbs.
Had her using a wooden pole to practice her squat, after that I moved her onto the empty bar which she wasn't fully able to do one rep. After a while we moved onto bench which she actually was able to do 2 sets with an empty bar, then 1 set with 5 lbs. Had her finish with deadlifts which she worked up to 75lbs.
As for myself, I got another squat PR! My bench though failed hard which demotivated me for pull-ups... Going to smash it next time though.
Fuckin a. Last game of the season today against the defending national champs and reigning #1 seed in the country. Lost 81-10 which is honestly better than i thought we would do. I even scored...caught the ball about 30-40m out of the try zone, confused as fuck cause i wasn't supposed to get the ball, their defense rushed up, i put a quick chip kick over their defense, looked like it was headed out of bounds but a godly wind kept it in, two of their players rushed toward its but it took a godly bounce and i dove, caught it, landed on it, and scored. on the national champs. hold my dick. Also spent 80 minutes tackling a variety of fast 160 lb kids to 250 pound giants. I'm so fucking sore. At least we played rugby for a solid 80 minutes instead of rolling over and dying. We had the score at ~12-5 a good 20-30 minutes into the game and then they started capitalizing on our mistakes. I end the season as leading scorer. We'll see about MVP awards at banquet in a couple weeks.
Can't wait to start hitting the gym ~4-5 days a week and start seeing some gains. Just gotta remember, PAIN DON'T HURT.
Played a D2 school today with all but two players as D3. That was pretty brutal - but I finally found it in me to just MAKE THE FUCKING HIT. I had a few good tackles and a few great rucks/counter rucks. One more game next week, against the B side of the team that's leading the section on D1... should be rough, but I'm looking forward to it. Also, great drinkup tonight. Ten of our guys had to go to a sorority formal, and were only there for an hour... so we made the most of it, and then after they left it was just a damn good time. Gotta love a sport where you take fifteen minutes to swing from "out for blood" to "best friends and drinking buddies".
Echo the sentiment from decaf though, excited to be able to hit the gym on a regular schedule again and get that squat up to three plates. I need to be bigger to play this sport.

Hahaha, on second thought you should've gone for an MBA :p
Couldn't remember the e-mail I used to make BouBou.865, but here I am again. The name is an improvement, anyways Started eating like a man again this thursday, expecting to roflstomp the weights again. Bitches in the leaderboard thread, I'm coming for you.
And squats allow you to make love like a pornstar lol, dat hipdrive.
So I benched 102,5kg 3 times, then 5 times, then 3 times again. Last week couldnt even get 3. So it was fucking awesome.
On deadlift did 3 doubles with my previous PR. Next saturday going for 3 singles with 194kg Not sure about going for 3 doubles with that week the following one though, as I was fucking exhausted after deadlifts. Couldnt even unload the bar (had to do like 5 mins of slow bike before trying, it was really weird).
Can't imagine benching over a hundred kilo's GoTuNk!, mad jelly >.< Gonna eat like a boss and hopefully my bench will get unstuck at the pathetic 65kg's it is now. Monday 67,5kg, it is ON.

Third world squat, general hamstring and lower back stretches. Just have to be committed to doing them regularly enough to see improvement.
100kg 5x5 today on squats, light as a feather - and that was with some terrible recovery the night before. I knew this was all mental, but I'll be continuing on upwards in my next workout.
I was leaning forward a touch in the second and third sets, but I fixed that in the 4th and 5th, so I suppose I'm good to go. 270 lb (1.5x bw) squat incoming!

About fucking time. Feels good to hit someone don't it?

Played with the D1 captain as our tighthead prop - he actually plays flanker or 8 man on that team, but he's been playing rugby since he was like six... so he can play anywhere. Great guy, great leader. Makes you want to run hard, makes you want to play well.
But the thing that actually put me over the top was our fullback. He's also been playing forever, and he'll tell you if you're messing up, but he's basically the "anticaptain" - very blunt personality, and when he gets down, it's hard to be around him. I just made it my entire focus of the game to stop the runners, so that he would shut UP. It wasn't even about the hit.
I guess I just got out of my head for a bit. Wish I could have run harder though, I definitely won't squat on a friday ever again.

If its the same guy that was playing 8-man a couple years ago and i believe an all-american then yeah he's a very good player. And hey, whatever it takes to get you to hit someone. He might sound annoying but it's working eh? :-p And yeah i usually don't go heavy at all on fridays. And sometimes (a lot of times) it's good to get out of your head. It really holds you back sometimes, your testosterone knows better than your brain when it comes to hitting people On a side note i have never been so sore in my life. Shoulders, traps, upper back, lower back, abs, core, bicep, jaw, nose, everything hurts whenever i move. As my roommate said "hey, maybe you shouldn't have tackled so many people" lol. Definitely not going to be able to max out my DL tomorrow. Hopefully wednesday.

no, he was playing flanker previously. He's one of... four guys left at the university that were on the team when we went to nationals a few years back, but he's the only one who was actually on the D1 team at the time, the other guys were D3. So awkward sometimes having two teams, there are a couple guys that we can never be sure where they're going to play, because we never know who's going to be at the games.
