"Please put the weights back at in their right place before you leave." Say that to the motherfucker who put 25 kgs infront of 5's and 2.5's ffs man. So I end up cleaning up the previous motherfucker who squatted before me just so I could deadlift 5 times.

I don't mind the exercise, but jesus next time the dude comes up to me and says that I'm gonna tell him off. Silly shit....

I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.

Shit work out today, just got through 5X5 205 squats and tried for 210 today. My hamstrings felt sore from wednesday and I could barely go full squat without any weight, ended up just doing 5 sets of 2. This is weird since after getting used to squatting 3 times a week there was never a point where I felt to sore to squat. Foam rolled my legs felt nice. Is this a sign that I should be switching to 3X5 after my next deload? (3.5 months in, deloaded once for form, once for weight being too heavy)

Ok so I was listening to some swedish radio channel today and they had a fitness "expert" there to talk about training with weights. And he claimed that strength training and muscle building will make you die at an earlier age. To quote him:
"Muscle building and strength training has nothing to do with health, it's the exact opposite".
I only remember a few reasons why he claimed strength training was bad but some of them was increased testosterone production, oxidative stress and.... "lots of food". And now when I'm visiting a swedish forum about strength training everyone seems to think all of this is true.

Please, help me debunk this?

Here in Australia we can get kangaroo meat, it's also super duper lean. A bit trickier to cook though.

how much are the plates? Back in school, the plates were similarly coloured

green: 10 lb
yellow: 25
blue: 35
red: 45

For a serious answer ... :p

Bent over barbell rows/pendlay rows are acceptable. Also, you can just do the Wichita Falls program if you want to incorporate a lot of pull ups into SS. But I think a completely viable option is to just gain the flexibility to do cleans... it only takes like a week for people with very stiff shoulders to stretch enough to be able to put the barbell in the rack position.

I think Pendlay's site has some good stretches for this. I'd give you the info but I'm on my way out the door.
