Thanks for explaining resets ![]() From phyre's explanation, seems like I should give myself 2 more resets ![]() ![]() >Cambium, Zafrumi Thanks for the encouragement - I want to at least hit intermediate on all lifts and advanced on squat/deadlift by the time I'm done with SS. I met up with a friend last night who is also into lifting, and we may eventually go to powerlifting meets when we become good enough ![]()

I met up with a friend last night who is also into lifting, and we may eventually go to powerlifting meets when we become good enough ![]() hehe pretty ambitious goals! I find it already hard to recover from my squats and im only slightly above intermediate. short term goals for me (bw: 86kg/190lbs) are: -140kg squat (stalling on 135kg at the moment), -180kg deadlift (going for 162.5kg on monday. this is gonna be tough ^^) and -100kg bench press (stalling on 92.5kg atm) after that i'll either move on to some other program or (hopefully) start olympic lifting for realz! I just realized that I'm almost as heavy as I was when I started losing weight about 2 years ago (94kg then, 86kg now) but I look way better, stronger and healthier than back then. hells yeah!

LOL dude same with me. I used to be a tubby 175lbs, reached 145lbs at one point, now I'm 170lbs and I look okay. ![]() ![]()

Yeah I guess so... But I still live with my parents and dont have the money to buy additional food so my protein intake varies a lot and sometimes I just dont get enough.

However if you're looking for an excellent tasting protein shake, Myofusion is freakin' amazing. I've had the chocolate, banana, and vanilla and all three are the best tasting ones I've ever had in those flavors. The strawberry one left something to be desired though. @nemY In case you need some motivation, I weigh 40lbs less than you and pushing and pulling about the same amount of weight! I want you to get your stats up to blow me out of the water ![]()

Yesterday was interesting. Lifted in the morning for the first time. I was kinda rushed for time too so it sucked. And I gotta say I'm not a huge fan of morning lifts I've come to realize. My bench was just pathetic. I probably didn't get enough sleep either. Didn't run or do pullups either because I ran out of time and energy. Second half of the day was helping my friend move into her new apartment in a 3rd floor walk-up carrying all her heavy shit. So I definitely got a workout throughout the course of the day. Then UFC fight and bars. Plus jogging this morning so I don't feel so bad about yesterday's terrible lifting session. More like I extended it to all day because I was lifting random furniture. Resisting the urge to work out again today. My cousin is coming over to lift and I know I'm going to want to. I'll probably just stretch a lot and maybe, maaaybe work on my power-clean form so he can watch me do it and tell me how shitty I am doing.

They would probably lose meets to powerlifters/olifters in their respective meets, but they have the highest "super-totals" and could probably kill fools if they played football too. Do you mostly do power movements or are your snatch and clean of the squat variety? we do all the power lifts also, and variations of them. we dont do a lot of deadlift. every week we do some kind of heavy bench (flat, incline, or whatever), a speed/specialty bench (chain bench, band bench, pause bench etc.) some type of heavy squat (back, front, box, different kind of bars) a speed squat (chain, band) and then snatch and clean (and variants of those). and along with those we mix in supplementary lifts for shoulders, arms (just triceps), back and leg, and core stuff. minimal cardio yayy :D

Also, do you deadlift? technique! and explosiveness i spose. i put on 80 pounds to my bench this year just by working my body positioning. basically taking my mind out of my arms and putting it into my back and core. its weird how much of a whole body and rhythm exercise bench can become when you do it right! i dont deadlift much, im bad at it. i dont have enough patience to get the bar off the ground while keeping my back inline and keeping my butt down. i havent done it in months, and my pickups for clean/snatch have gotten a lot better so maybe my deadlift will be better next time i try it. most ive done is 400 max back in highschool, 350 for 10 earlier this yr. i dont wanna max it ever again...

Hmm, I'll keep that in mind ![]() One should always work on weaknesses though. Why don't you want to max it? It makes me feel so alive when I do it.
