I've basically stopped using consoles and have no interest in buying the next generation of consoles. But if anything would convince me to drop the cash on one it's 100% ratchet and clank. PS4 totally worth it for Bloodborne, Last of Us (assuming you didn't play the PS3 version), Ratchet remake, and Uncharted 4 will probably be good. And eventually KH3, but I guess that'll be multiplat on XBOne as well. Speaking of games, Steam Sale tomorrow hype! I'm thinking that after this weekend I should have some time to start playing/streaming some of my library that I will likely add to during this sale. Nah, just continue the ever expanding back catalogue like the rest of us. Talking to Yango recently I'm pretty sure I'm told him there's like 5 games I want to play right now but haven't started yet. Also Witcher 3.

His work blocks most sites and he doesn't actually do any work. So he basically has 8 hours of chatting to whoever is online in the timezone and catching up on game knowledge to keep his status.

In my defense, when I purchase the game on sale I have every intention of playing it, sometimes that just doesn't happen for several months/over a year.

I've begun meditating daily for at least ~15 minutes (either after work or before sleep, usually), and it's been a very positive experience for me.

That's also part of it. It's like, I want to play all of these games, but I don't know where to start and it's just so daunting and seems like it'll never end and oh look now I've been just watching Netflix for 4 hours because the stress of picking a game was too high. Brain is dumb. http://www.polygon.com/2015/1/2/7480745/how-to-be-a-happier-gamer-in-2015There's a point in there about joy being NOT indulging in Steam sales.
I'll be honest. I read that article and all I can think of is why is a gaming review and news site telling people to buy less games. Opinion or not that's just silly and it's confusing to me when before he's all like "set goals for stuff" which is a good thing by the way. It just sorta conflicting because if someone did set goals like that they wouldn't have a backlog in the first place and they wouldn't need to buy fewer games. Dude must have a legendary size backlog to be this concerned over it.

It's an opinion article and the guy is writing about something that worked for him. I get and appreciate that.

I genuinely want to know how big his backlog is.. I'm glad he's happy but man it's gotta be like "I got ps2 games on this list" level. I bet it's awesome.
I should mention I think the meditation/clearing your mind is a great idea. It's incredibly calming to just hear nothing and just exist for a short period of time. I honestly don't think what I do is meditation but it's something I do and it's quite relaxing.
