I did have some moments where I was aware my lore knowledge was lacking but it was difficult to tell what was supposed to be a mystery for the internet to argue over and what I just didn't remember. | ||

Is it wacky and loose and a bit odd? Yeah, but it's cool seeing a brand new Fantasy setting without just being "Lord of the Rings, but with a twist". The recent narrative developments have been really good too, if you're bored and want to read some of the short stories leading up to the new Death army that's coming out, you can find a bunch here: https://malignportents.com/stories/ While there aren't as many named Heroes or nations to follow, the factions and Gods I think make a fairly interesting backdrop that you fill in with your own narrative and army. I've already started naming some of my Stormcast models :D Edit: also the game itself is really good, so that helps a lot. | ||
