That aside, there is so much wrong with the entirety of your comment. First, there's no 'bodycount' for baseball, except maybe for accidents like Jose Fernandez. Second, steroids weren't banned because of this mythical bodycount, but because of optics and pressure from the government. Third, steroids themselves aren't even definitively linked with early mortality, studies aren't conclusive, and at worst indicate that they exacerbate underlying/pre-existing cardiac issues such as cardiomyopathy because they do have potential for enlarging/thickening of the heart. For the vast, vast majority of cases, 'side effects' of steroid use can be handled if necessary with blood pressure medication, something extremely common in the general population today(a side discussion about how this isn't a good thing could be had, sure, although barring pristine genetics 'father time beats all' even if you have a great diet and stay fit).

I found that funny

And also people have been taking drugs in baseball since time immemorial. It's an honored tradition that nobody cared about until suddenly it got blown way out of proportion.

Anyone have experience with bulk preparing chicken for a few days worth of meals?

Tried several different ways of prepping it before shoving the breast in the oven for 20 minutes, and it always ends up having this nasty aftertaste after a day in the fridge, even if i don't reheat it

Actually, I fractured a bone in my ankle blocking a shot on my first shift of the game when i was like 13. Just thought it was a stinger, finished my shift.

Limped through the rest of the game no problem, didnt really feel it and you get a ton of support from skates. Couldn't walk at all when i got it out of my skate though.

A large part of it is the culture of the game. The kind of abuse i watched a personal hero like Ryan Smyth take every day, I couldn't wuss out over blocking a shot. Certainly didn't want to hear about how much of a coward i was from my teammates either.

I get home after 11 on days i have training, and it's nice to have meat in the fridge so i can just boil some noodles or something and have a meal. Hard to fry without waking everyone up

Strange, day old chicken should be fine reheated. How are you seasoning it? Are you buying fresh chicken or is it the frozen stuff?

A plain simple way is just to cut it up and marinade it with some herbs,spices, salt, some lemon juice then put it in the oven for 20-30 minutes. Can grill it on pan as well if it's breasts which makes it a little less dry. If you have Nandos there some Nandos sauce is great for this as well.

though I agree, your chicken shouldnt be off the day after, unless you use some wierd spices, or your fridge is too warm.

I don't know if it could be the problem but, in general, uncooked meat has a shorter fridge-life than cooked meat. So if you aren't cooking it within 2 days it's better to just freeze it and then start thawing the day before you cook it.

I bulk make like 5-6lbs at a time either breasts or tenderloins if they're on sale, layer pan with some foil, a little oil base(coconut has a good high smoke point) then herbs/spices, bake at 350F, and the worst that happens is the last piece I get to can be a bit dry(tupperware has its limits). I wouldn't pre cut unless you're eating very soon or will use in another dish that can bring some moisture back(like say a stir fry) but that's personal experience.

Could be something has leeched into the containers and is affecting the taste that way? I've had that happen before, can look and smell clean but throw some warm moist chicken in and it can open the plastics pores back up. Depending on the effort you want to put it could give a vinegar and baking soda bath to the containers or get new ones(if you can determine they are actually the problem).

It's not going off, it just gets a strange aftertaste. It was near the end of it's shelf life when i cooked it though. Its not really dry, just has a strange gamey aftertaste

Generally just cut it up into relatively small pieces, cover in some random marinade and throw into the oven at 200C for 20 minutes.

What time/temp do you use for full breasts in the oven?

Full breasts as in on the bone? 180-200C is normally fine for chicken. Full chicken is about 40-60 minutes but standing breasts aroudn 20-30 mins

I am surprised everyone uses an oven for their meat. I feel that takes so much time and energy. I just throw mine on a pan for less than 5 minutes and that's it.
