I've seen people running that one. I don't have like 5 of the cards I'd need.

I think a mid range deck would be ideal for it.
Yeah, the problem with the all-in Evolve decks is they can only really get a solid board of good things to evolve twice a game, and it's really easy for your opponents to have board clears for that, at which point you're dropping totems and hoping. It's the same problem a lot of the early Demon Warlock decks had, they were all-in on the Bloodreaver Gul'dan turn and if you cleared that they kinda had nothing.

The firelands portal that draws 5 cards and gives you 5 hp for 3 more mana also seems preeetty good
Yeah, Druids basically don't even bother running Auctioneer now because Ultimate Infestation is so good.
They're still beatable though. Once you Geist they can only drop so many Jades on the board at any one time, and if you Geist before they've had a chance to Idol more than once (and especially before they've had a chance to Earthen Scales, that's practically more important) then it becomes very hard for them to have big enough Jades to deal with stuff like N'Zoth and some of the DK powers.

Reading people talking about geist has been a weird experience...

Hero power won't summon duplicate 2/2 if it's already in play, like Alaric said.
See, that's how I think it should work, but I also have a hard time believing that I'm as lucky as I am. As I said before the odds of brewmastering 2/2s and not getting repeats in the first 3 should be 3 in 8, like totems. But my average has been much higher than that... so far. We'll see how things go as the law of large numbers pans out. I mean, it's highly unlikely it isn't just me being lucky but I need to convince myself of that with more evidence.

This is Kibler's list, right? It's not quite up to date with what I saw in stream. I remember him saying that Voss was replaceable, he had replaced shadowcaster with lich king, and you could drop obsidian shard and leeching poison for a second shadow blade and something else.

+ Show Spoiler [elemental mage] +I'm playing this. 1 Breath of Sindragosa 2 Mana Wyrm 2 Arcanologist 2 Frostbolt 1 Ice Walker 2 Medivh's Valet 2 Primordial Rune 1 Pyros 2 Sorcerer's Apprentice 1 Acolyte of Pain 2 Arcane Intellect 1 Counterspell 2 Ice Block 2 Tar Creeper 1 Volcanic Potion 2 Water Elemental 1 Blizzard 1 Flamestrike (Probably should be Barron Geddon?) 1 Sindragosa 1 DK Mage
Above is the mage brew I'm working on. It seems ok, lots of aggro so it's kind of a problem to stay alive some times. Dk mage is really good.

geddon is p good with mage dk servan of kalimos is p good with elementals

Can one of you who play on MTGO send me a draft log? Friends have a group of players they draft with on xmage and I found draft logs in the files, but they aren't that readable (no line feeds) and I was wondering whether they can get uploaded the way MTGO's can, so I'd need to compare the formats.

Geist also kills Evolve lol. Totally didn't think about that til I screwed some poor Shaman's day up.

That's why I hate Geist. There's a lot of collateral damage beyond just Jade Druids, and it turns out Jade Druids are mostly fine anyway thanks to Ultimate Infestation. It is what it is at this point though.
Despite Geist and some of the Lich King's shenanigans, this is probably the best expansion Hearthstone has had to date. Control matchups are incredibly complicated now, and that makes both victories and losses rewarding. Almost all my Control losses are less bad luck and more "Crap, I misused that resource and now I'm being punished for it", while my wins are just the opposite. It's great.
And when I lose to Pirate Warrior it's at least over quickly so I can get back to the interesting matchups. >.>

I like playing against Druid, facing Lich King on turn 4 is fun.

Yeah I've made some edits to it since I don't have all the legendaries I'd need (stealing enemy cards). I've had some incredibly silly games with it, but I still need to refine my wincon. Obsidian Shard should be dropped, Leeching Poison isn't great with the deck as is, Ethereal Peddler has been really nice at times, but probably should be dropped.
Not quite sure how to tailor my wincon, but might end up going a slightly more miracle slant (although I don't have Cleef).
|
Peddler is just a solid tempo card. 5/6 for 5 is strong enough with all the cheap tempo plays rogue can make. and then if you happen to get a solid card you can reduce cost its a 5/6 for 3 which is nutso.
if you want a win con, Malygos/conceal into blow them the fuck up with created spells that get doubled by valeera is a thing. and its a lot of fun. Plus worse case is he's a turn 10 4/12 plus fireball.
Keeping peddler is extra good for that condition since you can steal burn and get it for free with maly.
Could put in a curator package of Arfus/Malygos/Curator if you wanted that as well.

Eh, I didn't have these kinds of sentiments for the previous expansions. I enjoyed them, but this expansion I've literally hit the 100g limit twice, and I've never hit it before ever. Sure there's a bit of expansion euphoria present, but regardless of that it's clear that this expansion has gripped me in a way previous expansions haven't. Closest would probably be Old Gods.

I really regret spending 15 bucks on Starcraft remastered. They locked the resolution scaling behind a paywall. I can't even disable the Nexus looking like its in a discotech or something. Good lawd. I feel like I'm going to go blind playing this for 3 seconds. But I can't disable it, or I'm back to black bars. I'm just going to uninstall. Congrats on destroying my fun in a game I've played 20 years Blizzard. Takes some talent.

Conceal is wild only. In standard you have to have to take an extra turn to do something similar. You can shadowcaster -> hero power with shadowcaster, next turn make 1/1 maly with maly + shadowcaster, then even if they kill your malygos you have a 1/1 malygos to use to blow them up the next turn.

Wait, there's a paywall for resolution scaling *after* you spend $15 on the game?
|
No, remastered is the paywall. The game literally switches between black bars and HD. Like I just want the old graphics at my monitor's resolution (which is what the game did before they patched it out).

I have 30 ranked wins with Rogue so far...
This deck variant is pretty fun. I just need to like...learn how to play rogue.
