I'm not speedrunning MM against the vets and the challenge mode holds minimal appeal for me. What Capcom needs to do is come up with something fucking NEW. Just so you can stream them. I will quest in vain for a suitable Wave-stream game until it kills me. Long live Wave-stream. I'm gonna do Bastion and those Megaman fangames at the very least. I'm just on an Isaac/Skullgirls/MTG kick currently, although unless I start racing in earnest on SRL (which I dunno if I'll bother) I don't have anything left to do in Isaac really, and Skullgirls/MTG aren't particularly stream-friendly most of the time.
I mean if people REALLY wanted me to stream the original MM games I could very easily do that but I'm not sure why. There's also still DS2.
Eh. Maybe I'll start Bastion tonight depending on what's going on. Only issue there is schedule-wise tomorrow is Iris and Wed. will be draft night so I won't be playing it again until Thursday.

I've been trying to get Wave to stream Megaman Rock Force for ages but he won't do it for lack of interest.
Now you know there are at least TWO people who'd watch you, Wave!

Megaman starforce is probably the epitome of capcom's shamelessness, they basically made another battle network a series that had given up on innovation after the first game and then proceeded to not change it from battle network in any meaningful way while making a series out of it.
Like that is the apex of capcom's knack for not giving a fuck. At least the ZX series was cool; hence why there's only two of them and god knows how many starforce ones ~_~

With my summer vacation starting in two days, Wave, I can assure you I'll watch every second of a Bastion stream, especially if you've never played it. That's one of my top 5 favorite games ever.

Paper or computer?
I've had my mouse hovered over a cheap-ish Wacom tablet for a while now (mostly for map-drawing), but haven't made the commitment yet.

Just paper. I'm really a quite terrible artist and not a generally creative person, but I've also never really put time into it. I've always wanted to be able to draw things. I'm probably just going to get a small book and some pencils to mess around with.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A lot of the inspiration will probably be driven from D&D-like things. I have almost 0 idea how to start, so I'll probably just start drawing random stuff and figuring out perspective and shading and shit

Use diagrammatic lines and go for it. Helps to turn the drawing/picture upside down and sideways etc.
Making stuff from scratch feels like another level and I don't know if that comes with practicing copying things or not.

Anyone here have any experience doing stand up comedy at an open Mic night or talent show?
If so, I'd love to hear about your experience. How you prepped for it, etc.

Kyrie is better than anyone he had on the '07 Cavs. Plus we did pretty well in the regular season after we traded for JR, Shump, and Mozgov. This is not the team that started 19-20, the entire supporting cast is different. Compare Curry's supporting cast to Lebron's and you see it's really a big difference. If Love and Irving were healthy then they would be slight underdogs to GSW because of Lebron's abilities. With both of them out he needs not only to perform at his highest level but he also needs good showings from his teammates. Do you trust Dellavedova to show up every night for them? True, but I still think Smith, Shump, and Mozgov are better than the 07 team. And no, I have very little faith in Delly lol.

Sonic Adventure was actually very well received initially. The problem wasn't the direction, it was the floundering that followed. It's very easy for an established franchise that's doing well to take a misstep, lose it's balance, and enter a death spiral of increasingly desperate and ill-conceived attempts to right itself. This is especially true when it's in new hands.
I'm not saying it absolutely will happen, but it's more likely than you (specifically) think.

If so, I'd love to hear about your experience. How you prepped for it, etc. I'd like to think I could perform a routine pretty easily if someone wrote the material for me. I've written comedy before but never standup. I can give you some general performance advice based on what I know if you'd like. (I've done talent shows, variety/comedy shows)
First of all, know your audience. This goes for comedy in general. Not all kinds of jokes are universal. For a general crowd at a bar or standup club almost anything will do, but demographics *can* be important both in terms of sensitivity issues (I don't think I'd worry about that personally, but it all depends on where you go with your jokes) and stuff like talking about the workplace (eg tech jokes in Silicon Valley vs the rural Midwest).
As an aside you'd also have to know if this is the kind of audience (or if you'll be performing the kind of standup) that allows for interaction of any kind. You've always seemed to me like an easygoing, natural and happy guy so I think this would work for you pretty well. Ask general questions to the audience (eg. off the top of my head--- before starting a section on 'prom' for example you could ask a lighthearted 'So who here went to high school?' and then riff off of that pretty easily, either going for specifics/singling people out for not going as a joke, self deprecation, there's multiple options) which gets them engaged and interested in you and makes them feel welcome and involved.
For self preparation, know your routine. KNOW it, but don't necessarily memorize it. You have to be able to allow things to flow naturally from one point to another while allowing some room for error or improvisation. There may be sections of the joke that rely on specific timing or wording (eg impersonations) in which case yes, perform those exactly the same way each time once you've figured out the best way to do so, but for anecdotal jokes you have a lot more wiggle room.
If you're nervous in front of a crowd then there are two big humps I think you have to get over. One is the ability to get up on stage and begin in the first place. The other is specific to comedy for the most part, and that's lack of audience response, and unfortunately all I can say about that is if it happens, you man up and finish the show, power through and learn where you went wrong for next time. As far as just getting up on stage and beginning, the best advice I can give is treat it the exact same way as if you were talking to a group of friends. I can't explain what gives me my public speaking ability all that well but it's not something silly like 'picture people in their underwear.' Performance anxiety is definitely a real thing and just like a lot of anxiety, training your thoughts is a good way to combat things. Ultimately you just have to be yourself (unless you're an actor but that's a slightly different set of skills and performance advice), relax as best you can and remind yourself that the worst that could happen isn't all that bad at all and just START. Once you've actually begun your performance the rest tends to flow, you're in the moment and before you know it it'll be all over.

If so, I'd love to hear about your experience. How you prepped for it, etc. Know what you want to say beforehand, and be confident that what you're going to say is funny, no matter what. It's been said a million times, but confidence in your jokes makes things funnier. Laugh a lot yourself. Not bad advice (laughing yourself) at all but of course this depends on your style. Again if you're going for the 'natural' style (eg Jerry Seinfeld, Louis CK) this works great. I think it probably would work great for you based on what I know of you. If you're playing a 'character' (Jim Gaffigan, I dunno...Jimmy Carr?) then it depends if it fits the style or character you're going for. Confidence is absolutely key though. Can't have your voice wavering or sounding nervous because the audience can absolutely pick up on that and it just kills the mood.
Sorry I think a lot of this advice is all over the place but I'm just writing down what comes to mind. Are you going to practice for us/show us a recording or something? :D

This is really underselling the Battle Network series a lot. The second and 3rd entries in the series definitely made many meaningful improvements to the gameplay formula (at least, no less than Pokemon does from entry to entry). 4 and 5 were kind of just bad games, but 6 radically changed the basic gameplay to be the most refined in the entire series.
Really though, I feel like the Battle Network series was a little before its time. The game would be a lot more engaging with online multiplayer, and would probably be much more popular now with the current "collectible gaming" craze than it was in its own time.
With regard to Starforce, it wasn't that it didn't innovate--rather, it tried to do so in all the wrong ways. They dumbed down gameplay elements in ways that didn't actually make the game simpler or more accessible, and so ended up with a game that was just as complex, but didn't have any of the depth or engagement of it's predecessors.

The death of Sonic happened well before the release of Sonic Adventure. The inability for Sega to release a good flagship Sonic title for the Sega Saturn contributed to the loss of faith in Sega as a whole, both for their consoles, as well as for Sonic.
Sonic Adventure/Adventure 2 were the last ditch effort to keep Sega's grip on the console market alive. They're generally well received, but as a whole, fan impressions of Sega were already shot with the successive failures of both the Sega 32x and the Sega Saturn, compounded with the lack of a good Sonic game.
