My company is way to fucking small...time to start looking for another job, even if it means shelving the TI trip because my personal health and mental well-being is worth more to me. Good luck buddy! What sort of background do you have/what sort of job you looking for? In other news I spilled all over my keyboard and got scared but everything appears to still work, although a bit sticky.

Right now I do irrigation installations and service, both commercial and residential, some work for the state as well, I worked on the Millennium Science building, the bio-health building, and the Children's Garden at Penn State proper, all public works, various size systems, two water parks, and the Hoover Mason Trestle in Bethlehem. HMT is an HDPE system, so it isn't PVC piping, I have to heat the pipe and then fuse it together in tight places since it's on the old coal cars, footing is also real bad since old iron ore is laying all over the place.... I've only done low-volt lighting, but I don't mind it. It's simple and time consuming, but I don't complain about it, I'd prefer it honestly over digging ditches, pulling rocks out, filling said ditch and then tamping it so it doesn't end up settling down 2-3 inches. I also did a few months as an auditor for RGIS, that fucking sucked. Random hours, usually less than 40, took a pay cut working there as well, was making under $9/hr, plus fuel costs and drive. But driving was terrible since I could be sent anywhere from Williamsport, PA to Trenton/AC, NJ.

I did a summer at a golf course working 5:30 to 3:30, that wasn't bad, got fed by the cook there and didn't have to deal with anyone, just mowed grass all day. Add only with low voltage, 12-18v, almost nothing at 120/240v. You should see the farmers tan I end up with by the end of May....seasonal work where you want to quit by the first month is terrible. I just want time to myself, but nooo, everyone in the company loves to work 50+ hours, so I'm screwed. I could spite my dad and just get a job with a rival irrigation company, I have skills that they lack, since I'm used to working to pipes over 2" in diameter, PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, which FUCKING SUCKS, holy shit is that heavy and hard to work with....

Your work history means you'd probably be able to get blue collar work pretty easy tbh. If you're still willing later down the line and can't find anything lmk, I'll talk to my electrician friends I work with and see if we can't set something up. You'd work in the same office as me and be making somewhere in the 17-20 per hour range doing mostly the same type of work, but with consistent hours.

I wouldn't mind moving, esp since that would double my current pay, judging by what you said, they aren't a unionized shop, but that doesn't really matter to me. I still need to call my grandpa and get his electrical books off him.... Like I said, just let me know. They're pretty much looking for people all the time around here because we have so much work to do.
