Played HS again for first time in weeks, try some ranked, BOOM 6 straight Facehunters. Dragopaladins looks really cool, and 5th wing isn't even out yet. Went 2-2 in Modern tonight. Lost to Mono Red/Living End. Got wrecked by a Beast Within topdeck after I threw down Iona twice. Other than that, real nice night. Finals almost over after next Friday, lets start a lil Arrow/Flash. I'm also sad no more Silent Hills. That was one of the reasons I wanted to get a PS4. edit: Plz more SG streams. Surprised myself at how much I'm enjoying Wave practicing combos on Soniv  | ||

I'm on both of their sides. I mean think about it Jeff. If I razz Soniv then I'm motivating him to perform better at Skull Girls. He'll push himself to try to prove to himself that he can defeat Wave, therefore silencing my criticisms of him as an individual. If I praise Soniv then I'm letting him feel better about himself, and therefore he can be a happier man. If I give Wave the pep talk of absolutely destroying Soniv, then I'm filling Wave with self confidence. If I tear down Wave then Wave's going to concentrate on his goal of annihilating Soniv. If Wave focuses on annihilating Soniv then Wave with strengthen his resolve, and with it, his work ethic. This will be invaluable to Wave in life. Think about it Jeff. I'm playing both sides. I'm on both their teams. But if you forced me to pick ONE side, then I'd choose + Show Spoiler + no questions asked. | ||

I feel like I'm steamrolled with Dracodin by Face Hunters and Mech Mage. + Show Spoiler + The former it takes too long to develop a board, and big minions aren't that important when he's ignoring them most of the time, plus Consecrate doesn't accomplish much (less value unless you kill 3+ minions since he mostly plays 1-2 drops, and if you wait for him to have that much on the board you generally take too much damage to face to afford a turn just to give him momentum back). I only run one Healbot and one Belcher for taunts so I'm less resilient than other decks, but on the other hand my curve is already so 4-5 heavy (with 7-8 cards at 2 or less, but almost half are spells) I'm not sure I want to slow it further. I assume Quartermaster could make a big swing in that match-up, or getting a second knife juggler and muster to make that combo more reliable as "removal". The latter simply has way too much tempo, and always one-drops, be it wyrms, clockwork gnomes or cogmasters. The latter two are the only minions in the deck susceptible to Consecrate (since annoy-o-tron have divine shield), his removal kills my dragons (Hungry Dragon vs Fireball means a one drop for him), and I usually can't kill whatever he has. Again, maybe another muster and a quartermaster could help with that. If I can get at least one dragon to survive more than a turn (preferably over 1 HP so he doesn't just get pinged or killed by a token) I seem to be doing 0K. I get a Technician maybe thrice in 8 or 9 games, although I always had a dragon in hand for it (I coined the Technician once); it trades 1 for 2 in the end but doesn't feel strong enough against Hunter or Zoo. Hungry Dragons living over a turn for a possible 1 for 3 are the highlight (save when they give shield bearer to a shaman with zap-o-matic on board or a flame imp :<). I guess if I had a legendry instead of consorts being my 2nd strongest dragon they'd see more use. | ||
