Game should have ended with you killing the Midgar serpent, imo. FF7 has this storytelling issue where it's like, normally in a story it should be 20% beginning, 60% middle, 20% ending, and yet FF7 is 10% beginning, 50% middle, 40% ending, and everybodies suspension of disbelief cracks when the giant meteor that's supposed to be hitting the planet in the next two days is overhead for the entire second half of your playthrough. It's not really all that bad of a game, but the storytelling doesn't live up to other FF games imo, which is usually what sets them apart from other RPGs. | ||
