I always wanted to just have these giant battle with millions of units in these global battles. But nope, got to be small skirmishes. While I understand wanting to have the massive battles and I used to have the same problem with Dawn of War II, I've just come to accept that it is a different game altogether. I just figured that if I want to have large scale battles I can either just play Dawn of War I or Starcraft II. And not to mention that link I posted earlier also features some 3v3's in DoWII. Those can get pretty hectic sometimes. I think the beauty of Dawn of War II is that it's truly unique. I can't think of any other game off the top of my head that plays similar to it. It's refreshing. Also, the replays that I watch are using the Elite Mod of DoWII which features seven races (Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Chaos, Eldar, Tyranids, Orks, and Grey Knights!), so you see a lot of variety. Keeps things fresh. To each their own of course.

It's just not for me, that's all so I stick to watching instead of playing.

I also loved the look of it and the idea behind it, which is why I bought it. No. That possibility is now gone. The door has been shut. In a couple more years you'll hear the dull thud of Partying, followed by True Love. A couple doors do open as others close, it's true, like Liquor Store replaced Innocence, but the amount of doors are finite, and for every one that opens, several more grind slowly, inexorably, shut. Happy birthday, son!
