A good formula would have been something like: 3 new starters, 3-5 legendaries, 3-5 evolutions of old guys, 3-5 magmar/electabuzz guys, 1 eevee (we're at 19-25 already), add in like 5-10 totally new strains of pokemon (some with 2, some with 3) and you are at 29-55 new pokemon, and the game is still totally fresh.

to be fair, if they did that you'd get a ton of people complaining that nintendo is slacking and just trying to milk the franchise.

Hearthstone isn't all that amazing honestly. It's fun to kill time, it's shit tons easier than failing at League, and like Soniv said, conducive to my schedule.

Man, just finished watching the Smash Bros documentary. Holy shit, this is such a good fucking documentary. I think it's the best video about esports I've ever seen. Totally worth the 3 hour watch. (broken up in 9 episodes).

That's the thing, WotC completely missed the boat with making MTGO F2P.

It would have sold like hotcakes if they had some reasonable F2P distribution model.

That makes the percentage of legendaries WAY too high.

Legendaries don't feel legendary when 10% of all new Pokemon are "Legendary".

One of the first trainers you fight in HGSS is this guy called Joey. He has a Rattata. You curbstomp him, and he's like DUDE GIMME YOUR NUMBER, IMMA TRAIN AND THEN I WANT RUNBACKS. So you do, of course, not realizing what it entails.

Then he calls you to talk about how his Rattata is so great, it must be in the top percentage of rattata or something. Even though every time he challenges you you still faceroll him.



Also one thing I'd really like to see in a Pokemon game again is a postgame like in GSC where you could travel to the old region and get new badges. That was awesome. And the epic battle with Red in Mount Silver! That level 81 Pikachu...

Only thing wrong with fishing in pokemon at least is how arbitrary it feels when you either get a bite or not. Slow overworld travel with nothing in the overworld, however, is the single biggest crime in game design, and you should feel bad for it. Sure, gameplay stuff can make a game bad, but slow overworld can make a good game depressing to play.

Fishing in LoZ:TP was one of the most relaxing things I have done. Ever.
