Those are not nearly as cool as getting your birthday post. Birthday post comes just the one time. That kind of anniversary post is a moving target that is always greater than whatever number of posts I have. It's taken me 5 years to get close to 2k. You telling me that in another 7.5 years people will still care about my 5k?
It's just all a conspiracy of importance conjured up by the spam-posting elite.

I understand the excitement that comes with watching an event and expressing yourself when some play happens. I just don't see what I or the world gains from me participating in that. I've tried and it really just feels like casting feelings into an abyss (there few conversations except arguments about players/teams sucking). The only great things that I seen which come from it are the recommended game polls (which help vod viewers) but those don't require me to post to participate, or even keep up with the thread.
I mean, hey look, you posted and I came up with a long response where I tried to think things through and communicate. Isn't that more fun than the 50 crap posts I could have made in this time? Not that my posts are crap-free or always long but this is a conversation!

Soniv, your care is worth more to me than 20k posts.

You can make the same argument for any subforum/topic in this place. Do we all really need to post about other games in the OT thread? Do we really need to talk about LoL/SC2/DotA2/etc, and not actually play it? Obviously not. It's mostly for the community aspect, and TL/LR threads specifically provide an outlet for these people to gather and talk about the games.

Yeah, there is a huge community aspect to it. I feel like I'm watching the game with some buds and just chatting. Sure, there are times where the thread explodes with people reacting to plays, but there are also downtime where real discussion is had.
Had to change one of my trucks front headlights... Honestly, jesus fuck wow. Something that should be so easy and they make it so fucking hard. Had to take off the front grill and loosen a bolt underneath the truck by the wheel. wtf. Took so long for such a simple thing.

Yeah, today's cars are engineered really weird when it comes to basic things like that. My sister's car requires you to remove the entire fromt bumper (which is held on by very easily broken clips), and then to unplug the headlights you need to play with it at a weird angle and have small hands to even be able to do it. My dad had a lot of trouble and i ended up needing to do it. >_>
