"Psychological" is too broad of a genre, but something like Momento or Donnie Darko - where it's not really horror but it's kinda fucked up and forces your mind to do some running around. Identity, The Machinist, Fight Club, The Usual Suspects, Primer, Dark City, A Scanner Darkly

What about detective movies? This one is kinda out there because it's Japanese, but I highly recommend Midsummer's Equation (Manatsu no Houteishiki) if you can find it. It's one of the most interesting endings I've seen, even though the case itself is pretty simple. Unfortunately all the other Japanese movies I've watched all try to be twisty and instead they're just contrived and not very good. It also doesn't help that all the Japanese movies I've watched are on plane trips.

The Machinist was honestly a little bit too intense for me... I was on edge the whole time for some reason. Dark City turned a little too goofy at the end but the start was great. Could add The Prestige too... that's a great film, maybe my favourite Nolan film. Just got done one essay. Two to go...

I didn't like the Prestige as much as a lot of people, but maybe it's cuz someone hyped it up a lot for me and it was only OK instead of mindblowing for me. I think it was overhyped but a good movie. I thought The Illusionist was really good too but kind of got overshadowed by The Prestige. Prestige was better by a bit, but Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti deserve at least some recognition for what turned out to be a fairly enjoyable flick.

I thought the Illusionist was pretty bad lol it was super slow and I didn't care about any of them and the entire plot was way too contrived ~_~
