Thinking about this a little more, I'm by no means an expert, but you may have more success if you take vitamin D when you wake up and melatonin before bedtime. They're inversely related. You already are and/or probably will be vit d deficient working nights but you don't want to take vit d before sleeping.
Messing with sleep is something I'd approach with caution but you're working at night already so yeah

Is vitamin D's effect that big/long-lasting? I usually take mine when I'm back from work, so ~6-7 PM (unless I take lunch at home), I assume that wouldn't affect me since I rrely get to bed before 2 AM though?

Now that I'm getting a new car, I have to get auto insurance for myself (I was previously on my dad's plan). Stupid real life responsibilities

to whoever is having sleep problems, melatonin is a pretty good way of dealing with it but you should really try more 'natural' methods first like using f.lux, installing dimmer lights etc. not that melatonin is unnatural since your body is supposed to produce it so go nuts if you wanna i guess
|
Also if you get in a good habit of working out, it should make falling asleep easier. Even just taking a nice long walk and then showering should get you relaxed enough to help.

I could think of one good "natural" solution

Depending on what you mean by 'work out' that could be a terrible idea. A long walk works great because it's not taxing, and can be quite relaxing if you put yourself in the correct mental space. Tearing up the gym then going home and sleeping is another deal entirely, because you've just fully engaged your sympathetic nervous system, and it takes time for the parasympathetic to take back over and put you into 'rest and digest' mode.

I thought Soniv was talking about counting sheep.
Not the cancerous kind of course, but rather the cute fluffy kind.
I don't know what Requizen was going on about.

Is that why goatmen always carry axes in fantasy portrayal?
