Anyone thoughts on that? I'd prefer a brown switch, but am open to blue. Don't really see the point of paying the extra money for a red switch and I'm not gonna get a black switch for the time being, want to spare my fingers. I've been looking into WASD keyboards (Filco clones) as well as actual Filcos (so expensive QQ). Ducky keyboards seem nice, but importing seems like a nightmare and I can't find that many US importer/sellers - don't wanna pay to omuch on shipping/importing. There's a Rosewill 9000 Filco clone that is super cheap (like 65 bucks) but from reviews I'm told the USB connector isn't soldered and tends to break, which would be annoying. I don't have keycaps for mine at all lol, I've been touchtyping since grade school. It's hard for the random buttons (symbols and like Print Screen), but I haven't had too big a problem. so far. I have a Brown Switch, it's still pretty noticeable compared to a normal board sound-and-feedback wise. I don't know if I'd go Blue or Black in comparison, I'm not forceful enough for a black switch.

CM Storm TKL is pretty solid, the brown switches go on sale pretty often, and usually around 50 bucks when on sale. Depends whether or not you want numpad*

Why Colorado in particular? I'm in NYC to escape the hellhole of Colorado huehue [spoiler]I jest I like Colorado but you don't often see people moving to Colorado[/spoiler @Wei: Yea I want a numpad for sure. I didn't get a chance to look at all of the CM models, just glanced at the QuickFire Pro for a bit, is there a good one that is 104 keys? @ Haz I looked at the pro a bit last night didn't get a chance to go too deeply into it, but isn't the half-lit style kinda weird? O_O I don't foresee myself using backlighting, but I feel like either full backlit or no backlit would be better cosmetically. Also keycaps are weird as hell everyone has different terminology for it so it's super confusing. Not being engraved isn't a dealbreaker for me, but an engraved keycap would probably be a plus in my book.

I <3 Colorado because Skiing and Hiking are my favorite activities, even over swimming. The Summit County is one of my favorite places in the world, and I also have family in CO. Though I'd love to try Skiing other peaks someday.

Not as fluffy as I imagine Colorado is, but better than NH and Maine (which is my wheelhouse). Beautiful views too. Only problem is that I had to rent skis through my vacation package, which meant a pair of wooden planks from the 1970s. Rough shit mang.

Duckys do look cool but I'd have to go jump through some hoops to get one. Hm.

They've fixed the USB connector issue to be epoxied on, but the PCBs are no longer printed with the Costar label anymore: ![]() V3.0 boards are still Costar (Filco OEM) but V4.0 no longer have Costar printed on the PCB (might still be manufactured by Costar and Nashville is just some other thing?). Stabilizers are still costar instead of cherry though. If you want to be a keyboard elitist I would go for like laser engraved keycaps on a high class manufacturer, but I have both a rosewill 9k and a cmstorm quickfire tk and they both work fine. The primary draw for me is switches, since everything else is basically free and therefore overpriced (you can buy keycaps, backplates, chassis from enthusiasts or even print/machine your own).

Best value I'd probably get a quickfire rapid or quickfire TK but with the rapid you don't get a numpad, and with the TK there is a learning curve to being used to using the numlock key to toggle between home/end/arrows and numbers. I picked up my Rosewill for $45 after rebate and my quickfire TK for $55
