Slopes are the best place in the world, my zen world. It IS a lot icier. Similarly, I've heard all about the powdered paradise of Colorado and such and I can't wait to get out there. Too bad my gf hates heights and will never ski with me. T_T Skiing is how a anti-sports indoor kid like me satiates his "GOTTA GO FAST" instincts.

And also who cares what he's like he could be a 7'8" 310 lb. Hulk and I still might poke fun at him for being wary of a ski trip.

But seriously, I had high tops for a long time, once you get used to them I found them quite comfortable. In the last several years though, I've had nothing but Keens. I can wear them for basically everything and they're waterproof and rugged enough to do work in on short notice. I have a separate set of running shoes when I go for workout, but Keen is a really solid all around company.
