Not sure what was the point apart from making us read a "classic", but then again I guess they didn't believe 15/16 year olds would take an interest in social commentary (Cheep gonna say they're right or something if I profess I hated Suskind's a year later Perfume). I should finish the Count of Monte-Cristo, read a bit more than half then I moved so I was away from the library and I never bothered to check if the one in my new town had the same edition (it doesn't, but as long as it has a complete one I could work around it), I remember a diner scene near the beginning where well-off people discuss about Napoleon being vanquinshed and how fortunes are undone and people are going to see their true allegiances revealed, this kind of post-conflict thing, was pretty interesting (and petty too, burns everywhere but only on those not present). Then there's Faria and the whole willing suspension of disbelief being pressured hard.
I'm currently stuck in Anna Karenina. Also have Brothers Karamazov to read after that.

I'm up super insane-o early because I'm sorta used to it, but holy shit my guy slept the night (he got up twice but went back down as opposed to staying up for 3h)!!! It's gonna be a good week. Mebbe I just relax and play HS today or something and save Dark Souls for streaming.

Russians es #1 at everything except hosting winter olympics

i both read perfume and saw the movie in school
the book is definitely better, comparatively, but I could have done without either. Then again, the alternative to those was reading some of the shittiest german sturm&drang "classics" the teacher could find, so I guess it worked out ok.

I saw this morning that twitchplayspokemon was fighting over anarchy and democracy - any idea what this was/is about?

People are trying to rationalise that their should be cooperation and people taking turns playing so that the game progresses faster. Everybody else tells them what somebody said: "Then what's the point of having 70k people playing a game at the same time?"

I was looking at it operating under a democracy and there were still majority votes for stupid moves that didn't do anything. In the meantime it looked boring because 3 button inputs per minute.
also it's overtaken League of Legends in viewers, lol.

You should be at least Master Diamond before even considering quitting your job Cixah.
