Seems to me that toss in general just don't have anything to deal with terrans arsenal. They are literally nerfed to the ground now. They struggle to engage tanks Ravens knock out their top units It just seems terran don't really have a weakness vs protoss and most games look hilariously one sided. Maybe i am missing something but all these GSL games look so one sided (not just classic but this entire season). Watching maru roll up with tanks knowing he can't be engaged because he has raven energy is so strong.. I know your meant to engage mid map but when he's dropping for 90% of the game no wonder you feel pinned. Would love to see somebody break this terran domination but i doubt it will ever happen without a patch or something.

Or maybe the Ghost change that make EMP bigger without the upgrade cost? Or maybe the quicker shot from Viking making it hard to keep Colossi/Prism staying alive? Or its just all the above combined. I think a combination of all + at least for gsl there aint a good field of top toss (esp Not a consistent one).

The patch was just a massive net buff for terran in TvP

Never has been in Maru's case, even at Classic's peak when he was hands down the most dominant Protoss in GSL, once he ran into Maru in the Finals, Maru demolished him. It wasn't a close series at all. That was in a meta where Terran was weak too btw. Protoss representation in this GSL is 2 players who just recently got out of the military, Nightmare and Creator who are B tier GSL players at best and herO who isn't known for being ultra consistent. Compare that with the consistent excellence of players like Maru, Dark, Solar, Byun and the off and on again streaks of Gumiho, Bunny and Cure. It stinks that Protoss got wiped out so early, but honestly you can't draw a lot of balance conclusions because of it.

He has occasional hallmarks of excellence peaking out of years of being consistently middle of the pack with his last GSL Ro8 being from 6 years ago when Code S still had double the players. The idea that he's a standard of consistent excellence that herO can't stand up to is funny but not sustainable.
