Damn I missed the first two matches, I am curious to see what the bet of sos vs hm looked like cuz I am under the impression Gabe is underestimated by the commu in this mu, especially against agressive toss he is a god

Getting a lucky widowmine drop is now being on another level? Noted down next time a toss gets a good diruptor shot im tell people how he is on another level
Think this last series comes down to game 1. If SoS can beat Heromarine in G1 and can break a bit of HM's confidence i think he takes it, otherwise HM just gonna steamroll again
I didn't see sOs' GSL matches (did he play that way?) but Dream is a better Terran than gabe so surely sOs has a better way to play against Terran... right?

It was more macro-based and less all-in against Dream in the GSL, maybe because of the Ping so sOs went for more all-in approach.
Hahaha. Protoss is a joke. That game was sickening.
EDIT: Let's do a rundown. That got scouted early. Clem didn't even plant a lowground CC. Then MaxPax misplaced his initial shield batteries (and had to cancel). Then absolutely botched his home defence attacking marines with probes and a late recall. Then he won. Against a top tier Terran with some of the best control in the world. Amazing.
Still dont get why clem did that mine drop that was seen leaving the base, and then onwards it didn't look much better from him in game 3. Also why i hate watching maxpax games, his opponents at some points just do unforced dumb errors (also why he mostly loses to HM he just doesn't do that.)

Take too long to research. This game needs a patch and it needs it badly.
I hate protoss more than you but what you say makes no sense, magfield is literally the only winning condition against this particular version of voidray all in

If Serral is in top form, no protoss can beat him... he did drop a series recently to maxpax, but I wouldnt worry too much about it.
Maxpax for me is just basically encorporating what is wrong with toss at the moment, parting is actually a really good player even tho he plays kinda dirty.

I’ve managed to hold it with Vikings, marines, and regular Cyclones. Though I’m not a pro gamer. Only 4K MMR in NA lol.

Personally I don't have any problems holding that allin following the uthermal guide but the follow-up tempest contain always fucks me up
Damn Maxpax had nearly enough faceless power handle Bunny, it was probably the Danish factor that cost him, to recognisable. If only he was German or Russian he could have done it.

I'm just glad faceless danes aren't killing Starcraft

Its taking Thors forever to shoot down Libs with their AOE attack because its not Light armor, meanwhile it takes 5-6 shot for Libs to take down Thor, AND Libs shoot twice as fast as Thor. Trying to counter Libs with Thors will never work imo.

MaxPax didnt really take any bad fight, he only lost because he ran out of money. I also do feel it weird that the 4th base he took was too far away and more exposed than the one in front of the Main.
Why MaxPax had to stay around Clem base for so long? He should know his army aint better than Clem and he lost all the shield battery, so he should just go home, making more gateway and defend the natural. He was equal worker to Clem and could have won by having macro game.
Scarlett got horrible engagement despite her economy was very good in that game 2, and the lack of spell caster really ended any of her hope. She was looking so good against Inno during previous DH season, but now shes back down again.

honestly yesterday he didn't look like someone hiding builds, he looked like someone just not feeling it. I'm worried he's just not in good shape and that group won't forgive that
Trap just cant help himself. Playing so well, outplaying Serral most of the game, and then he just has one of his Trap moments and completely throws the game. Lets see if he can keep his composure in the 2nd game.

his army was just not build to win in a direct fight, he had so much supply tied in Zealots / DTs / Disruptors which don't really contribute to a fight vs what Serral had

I thought Serral was in the driver's seat more or less throughout. Trap's moves were fancy but too wasteful, he was already 16000 resources lost behind before the fight in which he got obliterated
Serral looks incredibly solid vs P. He'll get a T no matter what now, he'll be favored against all of them, I hope he doesn't disappoint. It's been too long since a big Serral victory.
On September 11 2021 01:26 swarminfestor wrote: Why did Trap shading behind?
I guess it was a miss click and he wanted to go into the main. It costed him dearly, Serial could just keep fighting with his full force instead of splitting it up

ya, you figured it out, this is exactly how it works /irony

Definitely not favored against Clem
oops yeah my bad. He does very well on ladder vs him atm but yeah definitely not favored though I give him fair chances

Should be close with Clem being slightly favored. I feel like Serral is underperforming in grand finals rn which is why their last clash was so one sided even if Clem is overall better in the matchup.
Trap just isnt great with Skytoss army, its could be used as a timing build instead of a super late game build. You hit Zerg with +2 or +3 air attack timing when Zerg air army is not max with upgrade yet, and they dont have the perfect composition with Infestor+Viper. I saw Stats did it against Serral and it was great.
It is funny how Serral seems to get the easy brackets most of the time lol. I think Bunny has a slight chance but it being online and ping is generally pretty bad for T. Dark V Serral in the Grand finals imo
Wow the top side of the bracket is so weak. For a tournament that is called the "season finals" the quality here is lacking bad those 3-4 top players which are not present here
A few times ago people would have say the bracket is rigged. Fortunately, serral isn't as strong anymore so nobody brings this kind of bs. A few times ago I would have say it should be a easy ride until the finals for serral but he is been a bit too shaky this year for this kind of affirmation.
It's a very very fortunate bracket for Serral. His way to the finals seems decently "easy" (at least compared to what he could have gotten). I'd be happy if he could get this one.

I don't get why they don't just use the GSL format where we would immediately know which part of the bracket they would be in. People say that then they can rig it, but we never actually see it happen in the GSL. Bo3s are too dicey against players that are so good that you just can't take your chances.
Setting up brackets like this just invites suspicions without any accountabilities. Heck, they could even show the draw live, and there won't be an argument. In fact, they could even make it a segment.

they used to do the live draws for WCS, they would pull the names out of bowls
