Meh, at least today Big Gabe's mines had fairly good results to Reynor's ling/bane actually. Not quite the same level of success Maru had against Serral, but the discrepancy wasn't huge. Both Terrans had mine hits that butchered gobs of units randomly.

Dark zvt (like his zvp) sometime goes compleatly off the rails though. I think Serral is generaly a safer bet.

It wasnt an excuse. I already stated that Maru played better.
Never, ever there has been an excuse for Maru, eh ? Being sick, timezones, not caring enough(my favourite), because of the weekend play, not enough time to prepare (like 1 months+), his right toe itching wrong way etc. ?

Mines seems to be the thing to go for in cross server play as it but more pressure on micro for Zerg. However their inconsistency isn't talked as much like distruptor. Probably because big orange ball of death that can be followed creates more suspense than tiny line. Some times mines just survive and aren't cleaned up or have just constant effective hits.

But when Clem was beating the shit out of Serral in EU scence, it was not about the mines, it was about Clem being the best Terran in the world.

Maru/Clem is more close one, but generally speaking, Clem has been basically the only terran in the world, who could consistently beat Serral and perhaps Raynor too. Its hard to argue against that. Of course he also gets way more practice against them, so it is an advantage. And not saying Maru isnt great too.

When Serral loses to the best Terran to ever touch this game its lag and cross server play being unfair due to mines.
When he loses to Clem and Reynor its because they're the Flash and Jaedong of SC2.

he does well against Serral and Reynor but lost to Dark, multiple times to Solar and almost again this tournament and now 0-3 to Rogue. Maru does better vs the korean Zergs and can also definitely beat Reynor and Serral even though he doesn't do it every time. Maru is clear
