Yeah it was something like fleet beacon -> 2 robos -> 1 carrier -> immortals. Looked like he didn't know what to do, so he tried a bit of everything. Maybe he didn't expect to be attacked like that when he started the fleet beacon.

Yes, but it doesn't matter what Aoe tech you go for, at that time in the game he could have had 2 carriers with 2 more on the way, and that does way more to defend. Once you get that you just sit behind your shield batteries and storm hydras, rather than lurkers.
Having a couple carriers does nothing against that many queens.

Neither do a useless fleet beacon, 2 immortals and 3 robos that don't contribute to anything at all. At least the carriers put the Zerg on a timer to end the game quickly. Whatever, let's just agree to disagree
