Honestly, we just had this artwork made for an event and we didn't get a chance to run it, but then we saw there was a chance to run something before Katowice and said OKAY THEN LETS DO IT. Welcome to the WardiTV Winter Championship! This tournament is made up of two events : $1,100 Winer Championship Preliminaries and the $2,700 Winter Championship. Top eight of preliminaries will join eight invites (likely compromised of players who avoided the preliminaries due to proximity with Katowice) in the main championship. Some nice matches in the 1st qualifier. You Don t usually see D- or C Tier Koreans like Tails and Ryung against their European counterparts like BattleB or SouLeer
E.: if anyone watches the Vods of the first qualifier, do yourselfe a favour and skip the first 40min of Bly - Prince game 2

Somehow this completely escaped me. Wardi you are crazy ^^ I love it!

What happened between Skillous and Clem? Clem forfeited?

I am very disappointed, DQ for only 30 minutes seems harsh in any competition, even more so for a minor. And Wardi organized a tourney with huge delays recently forcing players to wait hours or even reschedule...

It's on the players to keep track of that. And 30 minutes is being generous before walkover. Afai remember for the ESL Open Cups it's 15 minutes (or even less) before DQ.

Just to clear the "LP was wrong" sentence.
At the base of Clem's walkover, there was a misunderstanding between the TO and one of today's 12 players (Clem) about the starting time of his match: from what was said on the stream, all of the "starting matches of the day" should have started at the same time to avoid games going very late for the KR players and then streamed one after the other (on replays) on the official stream and this was communicated by Wardi to all of the players. Clem, for a reason or the other, misunderstood this point and showed up for his match accordingly to the Liquipedia schedule that was based on, as it has always been, when the match is actually shown on stream and not on when a TO makes the game to be actually played.
While I can agree that it was a very unfortunate "shit happens moment", bashing on LP or saying its schedule was wrong is not what happened here.
I'd like also to remind that, while sometimes it can be considered almost as "an honour" as to being used as official brackets for an event, LP is still a wiki run by volunteers and, as a wiki itself, and as a wiki run by volunteers, should never be considered the "first and official" source for any tournament, especially not for the players playing in it and especially not over what the TO communicates to the players via whatever way they base their tournament's communication method over.

I feel like soul would have taken this already if he hadn't missed / delayed his upgrades

What tournament did I run with huge delays or rescheduling?
He was over 30 minutes late from his "expected start time", players are meant to be ready to play before then as well, we can't wait forever if we don't know if he will show up or not. What do we do, wait 3 hours and he's still not here?

Soul is confirming his good form, that's great.

That's quite a bade take, minor or not, a tournament has to enforce his rules for the sake of the viewers and the other competitors. I guess you're biaised on this matter as a fan, it's very unfortunate for Clem but Wardi's decision was the good one.
