Showing a roach warren, cancelling it and going for a baneling bust is pretty next level.

Fuck, my internet lagged right as the fight began. Lag spike into GG - nothing more fucking infuriating from a viewership perspective

You didn't miss much tbh. Maru had the much better army, so he stimmed in and won.
edit: Series like this always make me wonder how much the Korean player knows about their less known non-Korean opponent. Like if it was someone like Solar I'm sure he would have studied up on Cham's builds on top of having played against him online a bunch. But Maru is the complete opposite and I'm more wondering about if Maru knows at all who Cham is.

I doubt that Solar would study Cham's builds, it's more likely he just knows from online cups.

Yeah that too--Solar is a true online grinder.

Maru faces the winner of Parting/Bunny next followed by either Dark or Serral after that, followed by TY after that. Brutal fucking bracket besides the match with Cham.

Harstem really doesn't have much bracket luck recently.

I'm also not sure where the confidence in TY is coming from, he's not exactly been playing at a level head and shoulders above his part of the bracket recently thanks to his Brood War dalliance.

Maru flexing with that trophy shelf.

TY is the reigning Code S champion. Until that changes he gets my confidence.

He's not in Code S winning form in these events, that much has been clear.

When I look at brackets, I assume each player will play to their usual standard. Does that mean they always will, of course not.
If TY plays like he's in a Code S, then I don't see a reason why he wouldn't advance to the 4th round in that bracket. If he loses before that it will be an upset. That's all.
