He's at 73% set win rate against Korean players in 2020, the highest of anyone (#2 is Maru at 68%, #3 Stats at 65% so that's a big gap). Reynor is at 60% which is up there with the top Koreans but not nearly as impressive I like how this list shows neither GSL champion of the year (one of whom also won Katowice). So I guess we can't take this at face value either.

Wow, I feel extremely nervous. When did we last have a terran victor in major foreign tournament? Hoping we'll get to see the same form as yesterday, Clem hwaiting!

And Katowice 2019. And Katowice 2018. etc Serral's Blizzcon 2018 win has given him so much mileage, everyone still talks as if its relevant when we have 3 more world champions. At the end of the day its the only big tournament he hans't choked at. the only player ever to place highly at literally every tournament he enters is a choker
you can argue about Serral being the GOAT or current number one or whatever but you absolutely can't deny that he's the most consistent top level player ever

He's very consistent at that.

Right Polt won what was that year's Katowice (thanks Blizzard for ruining that with region lock).

Clem opened with the liberator every game in the previous series against Reynor iirc, and it looks like he'll do that every game this series. It's a pretty vanilla way to open, but I wonder if there's anything Reynor can do to exploit that.

If Clem loses submarine i give him no chance to win.

I think it's more of a question of if Reynor feels like he should try to exploit that or if he thinks he doesn't need to.

Interestingly, Rogue and TY have the worst win rates among top players this year. It's not really surprising for Rogue since he tends to get stomped when he's not winning everything but TY is one of the most consistent players in the GSL. He's done fairly well in other major tournaments this year too so I guess poor showings in online cups are dragging him down

Forgetting bane speed is completely map-independent

Reynor lost a map to Clem because of that yesterday. (which was not Submarine)

Reynor evidently does not want to win Submarine either.
Or you have a justification for ling bane into ultras?
