What is a tournament of this "great game" doing in the Sc2 section? This has literally nothing to with anything SC2 except the players

It's an SC2 tournament sponsored by Raid: shadow legends. It's not a Raid: shadow legends tournament.

I must say, while I appreciate that the "game" is pouring some money into SC2 and I allready downloaded it twice for some streamers (Wardi and Harstem) (and deleted it staight afterwards) it s realy getting out of hand with it..
I realy hope that there s no one, who starts "playing" this massive PtW thing and actually spends money on it, just because these tournaments..

Poor BratOK - got destroyed in every single engagement in that Bo3. Could’ve otherwise had a pretty easy 2-0

Well, at least he won the later bo3 and advanced - it would have been super frustrating to end on that series

who cares? do you have to drink red bull because they sponsor a tournament? do you have to buy every gaming chair and monitor that sponsors a tournament? a sponsor is a sponsor, it's just how capitalist society works

The difference is that Raid Shadow Legend is everything (some of) the media want s to depicked as gaming. It s pretty much a scam as it s relying so heavily on Pay to Win.
I honestly think that "games" like this are actually bad for the gaming industry as a whole and damage the overall acceptance for videogames by the society.
So in long term it s bad for SC2, if more "games" like Raid Shadow Legends pop up.

What a poor take. Did you know Bly is a master at the game? Or that I play regularly w/o a sponsorship? Are you going to shame us for enjoying games that aren't starcraft because you don't like it? This is the exact kind of elite BS behaviour that gatekeeps and frankly I don't want any of it so do me a favour, don't watch the games, don't follow the scores, because you're not the type of person who deserves to call themselves a fan.

why would you critizise him for gatekeeping just to gatekeep him even harder lol
besides, its a shitty game and there are definitely limits to what sponsors to accept but this doesnt cross the line imo.

The difference between Red Bull and Raid Shadow Legends is that even if the warnings about aspartame being carcinogenic were true, Red Bull still wouldn't be 1% of the cancer that Raid is.

Gratz to uThermal for winning the tourney. Some great games and the final was a long one as well. Also as long as raid shadow legends can help fund these tournaments while being a respectable and trustworthy sponsor I see no problem with them. GG's
