Remember at Katowice when Maru went up 2-0 and Rogue said he didn't think there was any way he could win so he went for meme builds just to entertain the fans? And then he won 3-2.

But this is GSL not weekender, so technically Maru should play better. OTOH he has to defeat Trap and, well, let's face it, currently the last 2 series are for JAGW to plan them out the way *they* like it

that series... The infamous 3rd game, with Maru up 2-oh and a Roach all in from Rogue at game 3 or game 5 don't even remember.. and Maru basically gg-s with a high ground tank and Rogue has no vision? What an epic weekender throw by Maru was that series OMG.. actually Maru needs to beat Trap first. I think it is going to be a Trap win anyway... Maru sometimes loses to teammates, and Trap does not want to play lategame against Maru with the upgraded Ghost EMP. Stats can confirm that.

The fourth game was worse. Maru scouted the fast lair and kills the overlord before it can throw down the nydus. Only to have not walled off his natural properly and lings get in and throw in down anyway.
Unkillable nydus was bullshit, but all Maru needed was a fucking tight wall

Tho I remember rogue actually giving credit to sOs about the proxy hatchery that he pulled off against Classic in ssl (?).
I dunno the causation, but there's correlation. Rogue definitely started doing weird things from 2015, after sOs and maru were having a blast doing weird things in proleague 2014. Also, may I mention True also getting really far in gsl and doing well proleague in 2014 for being weird too.
