Ditto for Idra as well - don't discount the tremendous impact he had on the game early on.
Boxer's MLG TvT versus TLO is one for the ages. That game alone makes him the greatest. Also his lift to gold on metropolis.
Sascri & qxc (you might want to think about that one)
What am I missing?
Just kidding, let's just say it's an interesting choice to make. I guess there's way stranger vote here then Sacsri tho.
Ah

MorroW is really a blast from the past, was a big fan of that guy back in the day.
qxc is awesome and MorroW has two great features He was sometimes read as Maru! Thus being first Maru in SC2 He played and won with reapers before it was cool

So that is why I somewhat knew about aeons end when my GF bought it, I remeber know qxc did a blog about it Awesome game, one of the very best I've played !!!! didn't particulary like the player, love the game designer
THAT is exactly why to vote for Idra. Top 10 best memory moment of SC2 ever. Doesn't matter if you loved or hated him, he DID shape the game we play today. Also one of the GOAT foreigners in BW
EDIT: There is also one vs Huk where he GG'ed cause of hallucinated colossi I think xD

Agreed. I think it kind of comes down to how you view this sort of thing. Should it be based on premier tournament wins and sheer skill? Or should we also consider the overall impact of the player on the scene and their lasting legacy. For me, IdrA was an easy vote, there was a period very early on (during the beta and at launch iirc) when he was pretty dominant and he also gave us many of the most memorable moments in the game’s history. I might be a bit biased towards players from earlier years because my interest in the game was at its peak around that time though. Regardless, I voted Neeb/IdrA.
Just rewatched this. Is there a link to an interview anywhere to explain why he tapped out?
no link but I think his reasoning was that he didn't know MMA killed his own CC and thought he lost a lot of drones to the drop (but he only had them stacked) In that scenario he thought he was economically behind and lost his entire army except the mutas which would die to the next marine rally.

That MLG with all the Slayers Blue-Flame shenanigans alone gives him the title in this group IMO. Plus there's MMA, Ryung, Crank, even Dark, who knows if they'd be the champions they are now without Boxer.

White-Ra carefully crafted a Special Tacticks to win, then Patience just dumpster blink right on top of him.
On a related note if you guy's have not watch olimoleague march final you should go check game 5 of Patience-Fantasy, it's the most Patience late game ever, he "mindgame"(?) Fanta into the ground rolling over a mass ghost army with blink stalker at 20 minutes. Can be an argument for voting for or against him really.

Yup, there was an analysis from a replay from someone and they generally confirmed this. It was a stalemate if Idra knew MMA killed his CC but he did NOT know that thus he left.
Anyway, Idra was the best foreign Zerg of that period and if he handled his issues he would have been probably the best player of that period. His "we need to play macro!#!$!!" attitude didn't particularly helped him back in the day of small maps and shit.
Elazer has never been as relevant as IdrA not has he gotten the results IdrA did at his peak. In addition, IdrA was one of the game's icons and most recognisable players. Like you can say Elazer beats IdrA in terms of consistency, but IdrA being a top foreigner, Korean slaying, tournament winning son of a gun is worth a lot more than Elazer's fairly consistent Top 4/finalist runs.
I'm surprise how little vote Morrow is getting, even less then qxc in an arguably more open group, his results pretty much compare to White-Ra in my mind, plus he's the original reaper abuser.

Byun was a way better reaper abuser, that's why
White-Ra was of a higher caliber, a Legend in beta and got third in the first "World Cup pre-Blizzcon event"; koreans took his skills in high esteem, Morrow did very well but wasn't really reputed to be as strong.
