You were talking about Zest eliminating great players before losing in PvZ. I assumed this meant Zest eliminating Innovation, as Zest hasn't really eliminated anyone in a while.
I was just referring in general to players that are strong in one matchup and weak in another eliminating a strong player in their strong matchup and then performing poorly against a relatively weaker opponent in their weak matchup.

I wouldn't say it's a glaring weakness, yeah he lost badly to Rogue but pvz is zerg favored plus Rogue was on fire. Zest on the other hand has a glaring weakness in pvz

Thing is, the reason he didn't lose 0-2 was because of a huge mistake from Elazer, not an amazing play by classic. So I still view it as a lacking PvZ performance. SoO wouldn't make those mistakes outside of a final

He had to, Stats was just gonna sit at home on two bases as long as Classic didn't have a third himself, meaning Stats' upgrade advantage only grows and Classic's not gaining any ground on him (and can't kill him). The goal for Classic there is to kill Stats' army or at least cancel his third for so long that his pure army supply equals out the upgrade disadvantage, and he needs a third to do that.
