Temporary BTSL: LITE

The BTSL is changing as we know it, and those announcements will be made in preparation for it's relaunch in February! HOWEVER we don't want to miss out on awesome weekly cups, so we've made a "Lite" version of the old BTSL to bridge the gap in January. Each cup will feature $100-$200+ in prizing, and hopes to raise more through Matcherino.

Hey Zombiegrub, what you said about Scarlett was factually incorrect on many levels. I saw the cast yesterday.

- You said it was G3 of the series (so a decider):
It was actually GAME ONE of the series. Scarlett won both the regame of G1 and the second game.

- You said she had seen burrow before in the series
It was G1 and she called out her opponent on it literally only seconds after she saw burrow and was completely surprised by it because she could not tell because of the skin.

- You said the entire series had to be replayed.
It was only one game that had to be replayed because no more than one game was played before.

The only correct thing you said was that the game was lost. That is true but you still need to put it into perspective. The opponent chose a skin that makes Roach Burrow hard to visually identify, then researched and used it. Scarlett had every right to be upset by that, regardless of the game state.

I mean Scarlett did already post in the other thread the reasoning for asking for a regame. (That at HSC, there was a problem with hot keys that cost the series). However, Scarlett did agree that in going back in the replay, the game was "99% lost."

Pretty much everyone who watched that game agreed that it was lost, and it was only really due to a technicality that there was a regame. Burrow move roaches were not really a factor at that point in the game, and you could have taken the skins out with no difference to the determination of the game.

Yeah it was over. This is still no reason to spread completely one-sided misinformation against Scarlett like that to thousands of watchers.

Did she seriously say all that? That's really fucked up. The facts are so wrong that either she dogpiled purely based on hearsay or she intentionally was trying to smear Scarlett. Neither one is a good look.

Yes, Scarlett made a bad decision and she fessed up to it, but to go that far overboard in response is at least as bad. ZG needs to apologise herself.
