OSC Masters Cups now $1000+, Twice Monthly!

Online Sports Championships (OSC) are happy to announce that one of the longest running franchises in esports get a big prize boost!

Started in Feb 2011, the OSC Masters Cup is a SC2 tournament run by members of the SEA community as a platform for players within the region to practice against each other in a competitive format, as well as global challenge versions to test vs the worlds best! There have been changes to format, eligibility, and frequency over the years (most recently, twice monthly + global), but it has always remained a constant staple of SC2, particularly in SEA, and a prestigious event to win!

We will be replicating the format used to celebrate Masters Cup #100 for these new $1000+ twice monthly editions!
Qualifiers + Invites > Groups > Playoffs.

One edition will be open globally, and the next WCS Circuit eligibility. Repeat.

The primary stream for this event will be OSCesports. We will showcase a mix of our regular and guest casters to provide 10 Masters Cup broadcasts per fortnight!

Main Event:

1st $400 + 350 OSC points
2nd $200 + 225 OSC points
3rd $100 + 175 OSC points
4th $50 + 100 OSC points

Top 4 qualify

Format:

Stage 1: 4x Double Elim Qualifiers, top 4 of each qualify (16 players)
$25+ to winner of each qualifier!
Upper Bracket semifinals played for $'s and seeding!
Lower Bracket stops when players are qualified. (No 3/4, 2/3rd lower bracket series)

Stage 2: 8 Invites. Select players based of previous Masters Cup qualifier results, and overall OSC League results and activity.

Stage 3: 24 Players in group stage. 4 Groups of 6.
Bo2 Round Robin SSL style group, with the Top 3 players advancing.

Stage 4: R16 Single Elim bracket.
1st in groups into R8
2nd + 3rd in groups into R16

Conditions:
Players are expected to showup for the group they qualify for/select. Failure to do so, without good reason, will result in the player being required to sit out the following 2 Masters Cups + Qualifiers.

Players are to playout all of their 10 maps. Failure to do so, without good reason, will result in the player being required to sit out the following 4 Masters Cups + Qualifiers, and forfeit their chance at the participation prizes for the current edition.
