As i see it 12 players get paid trips, and they expect 64 more players to make the trip on their own expense to Katowice? We don't even have that number of pros with teams willing to pay flights+accomodation. It will probably be filled with local amateurs.

For a Global, i would expect more spots to be paid, since it's meant to be a one-off meeting of the top players from around the world.

Ok, could be a really stupid question, but how does IEM imagine it will fill out those 64 spots for the offline qualifier? We don't even have that number of pros with teams willing to pay flights+accomodation. If 96 spots can be taken by players in some exotic places like Jonkoping or Valencia then its much easier to gather 64 at a more important event in Central Europe - not to mention lower prices in Poland. Although the length of the stay may be an obstacle, unless you plan to drop out during the first weekend.

How do the offline qualifiers even work? I still don't get it. Offline qualifiers will take place one week before finals in Katowice. Eligibility is based on wcs points and/or ladder rank. (for ex. Master player will have priority over Diamond player) 64 players will play in a double elimination bracket for 12 spots in the finals.

Snute vs Innovation in Stage 2... that's off to a tough start, Jens. But you can do it! We already have tickets for Katowice, so actually you have to . ![]()
