If the zerg does not defend really well the initial adepts can but you so much behind that you are dead. It reminds me of the blink-stalker era where you could macro back home and just accidentally kill your opponent. For protoss adepts are not a huge investment that can win the game but for zerg they are potential death and almost always put you behind. hmm, adept pressure is so common, I don't think the zerg should ever take game-ending damage to it unless it's heavily commited 2 base 8 gate allin. The scales are really off with adepts against both Z/T. defender has to commit so much more than the attacker. Adepts are simply broken OP unit that should have been nerfed ages ago. compared to tempests they look pretty balanced I don't really see a problem with them to be honest, they are good but can be defended. not like tempests where there's nothing you can do.. You can kill all the tempests, realize that that doesn't allow you to kill your opponent, and then curse your luck because the Protoss had infinite money and just remade everything while you ran out of money. That's how it goes for me usually. How the fuck do you kill the Tempests? For me there's always a horde of Templar/Colossi underneath them and Ghosts/Vikings get crushed utterly by Revelation and Tempest fire.. on dusk towers I once managed to create a stalemate ssituation with 40-50 ravens, ranged libs and vikings and slowly whittled away at his army. my only win vs mass tempests

Usually what happens in my games is that either player dies before tempests come out. When tempests come out I only win if they make a huge mistake (like allowing me to get under their tempests with a lot of marines).

My opponents suck The other day I base traded against a Protoss on Frost who got to tempest tech at like 10 minutes despite my best attempts to harass him. I killed all his initial 4 bases and all his tech, then he took a bad engage and lost most of his army. 5 minutes later his army is remaxed and better than mine because he had the money to rebuild everything he lost and more in a different corner of the map. haha this happened to me in HotS too. killed everything and thought I had won. (lots of manner mules ) than a mass tempest/carrier army attacked me froma corner of the map (I played mech though)

Actually you might be able to stalemate on New Gettysburg because the only real path across on the north side of the map is pretty narrow. But it's easier for prisms and such to get around on Gettysburg.

Sometimes this game is very unforgiving.
